&asins&fc1I almost ignored Twilight in this week’s releases. After all, the DVD isn’t being released until the weekend, most likely to allow more retailers to cash in on the teenage audience with midnight marketing campaigns. I think video games (and Thursday night midnight screenings) have shown that you don’t have to wait to the weekend to capture this target audience, but what do I know.

I still haven’t seen Twilight and I don’t have a real interest in doing so, although I’m sure I’ll break down at some point and watch it. With the other offerings this week though (including Punisher: War Zone and… well, that’s about it. So hopefully this will appease all the ravenous Twilight fans out there - it’s our pick of the week, even if we aren’t doling out the cash to see it ourselves. Don’t say we never paid attention to your movie in some fashion. Unfortunately Blu-ray fans will have to wait a while, since Twilight isn’t coming to high definition until May 5th.
