Listen up, my droogs: Stanley Kubrick's controversial A Clockwork Orange is getting a new Blu-ray release in honor of its 40th anniversary. Based on the novel by Anthony Burgess, the film stars Malcolm McDowell as Alex, a character who would become McDowell's most iconic role, not to mention a staple of hipster Halloween parties for generations to come. The film follows Alex's unwilling journey from hooligan and derby aficionado to brainwashed obedient lad, with stops at rape, ultra-violence, and uncomfortable musical numbers along the way.

Listing for $34.99, the two-disc A Clockwork Orange 40th Anniversary Edition set will hit shelves May 31st, and will include two new bonus features alongside the older content. According to the press release, the new material will include "a 25-minute documentary about the film’s 'ultra-violence' and its cultural impact, and a short documentary where Malcolm McDowell reminiscences on working closely with the legendary director." The 40th Anniversary Edition will also be packaged with a book of photos and production notes.

If that's still not enough to sate your Kubrick cravings, Warner Bros. Home Video will also be releasing the massive Stanley Kubrick: Limited Edition Collection Blu-ray box set that same day for a list price of $148.95. The set will bundle together every flick Kubrick made since 1960. For the record, that means you'll get Blu-ray copies of the new A Clockwork Orange 40th Anniversary Edition alongside new Blu-rays of Lolita and Barry Lyndon, as well as Spartacus, Dr. Strangelove, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and Eyes Wide Shut. It will also get a snazzy 40-page collector's book looking at the director's career. If you're feeling frugal or don't have a Blu-ray player, you'll be able to get the same collection of films on DVD as the Stanley Kubrick Essential Collection for a mere $74.92.
