I promised myself I wouldn't cry. I've had a few weeks to mourn the end of David Tennant's tenure as Doctor Who's finest Doctor ever, and I was well on the way to acceptance. I was coping. But no, BBC Video couldn't leave well enough alone. They just had to prod at the wounds by sending along this video clip of Tennant's best moments in the role. And I...I've got something in my eye. Excuse me.
Of course, they have other motivations aside from relishing my pain like a fine wine. Doctor Who: The Complete Specials comes out on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, February 2nd. As you might expect, it collects all five of the final episodes of Tennant's run, including The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, The Waters of Mars, and The End of Time, Parts One and Two. Most of them have been released individually before now, but if you buy the set you'll get a brand-new Doctor Who Confidential episode focusing on The Next Doctor and a Doctor Who at Comic-Con special that follows David Tennant and Russell T Davies' first appearance in San Diego.
