See Five Minutes Of Batman: Gotham Knight

If thereís anything Iím looking forward to as much as The Dark Knight, itís the Batman DVD flick that bridges the gap between Christopher Nolanís films, Batman: Gotham Knight. The images that have been released from the direct to DVD animated film just look incredible, and now MTV Movies Blog has gotten their hands on five minutes of the movie. All I can say is: wow.

Youíve never seen Batman animated like this. Not even in the darkness of the unrated Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker or Mask of the Phantasm. This is dark, with the dark knight cutting a larger-than-life swath through criminal activity. This is the perfect blend of Nolanís Batman Begins, only letting us see more of the action than Nolan did in the first film.

Check out the footage below. Once the five minutes ends, hang on for a look at one of the behind-the-scenes featurettes, looking at the villains of Batmanís rogues gallery.
