The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Is Coming To Blu-Ray/DVD In December, For Those Who Care image
Fact: the best thing to come out of the entire Twilight phenomenon was the recent Supernatural episode entitled "Live Free or Twihard." Still, for any 13-year-old girls or obsessed soccer moms amongst our readership, exciting news: Eclipse, the third film in the interminable Twilight Saga is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on December 4th.

As is to be expected of an intellectual property fat with the cash of moon-eyed teenage girls (or their parents), Eclipse will be arriving in just about every format you can think of shy of direct-brain download (and they're only holding back on that because the prototypes keep making the test subjects spontaneously combust). You can choose from a two-disc special edition DVD set ($32.99), a single-disc DVD ($28.99), a single-disc Blu-ray ($34.99), or a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($40.99). I'm betting it'll also be available via the various VOD or download services, though the press release doesn't specifically say so. If you're hoping for bonus features, it looks like you'll have to spring for the combo pack or the two-disc DVD.

SPECIAL FEATURES (Two-Disc DVD & Combo Pack only)
  • Audio Commentary by Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart
  • Audio Commentary by Stephanie Meyer & Wyck Godfrey
  • Deleted & Extended Scenes
  • Photo Gallery
  • Six-Part Making Of Documentary (PIP mode on Combo only)
  • Edward Fast Forward
  • Jacob Fast Forward
  • Music Videos
  • And more!
