Best Of 2008 So Far, According To Katey

By Katey Rich: 2008-01-05 02:02:39

This is the best of 2008 according to me, and this is my disclaimer to go with it:

I really hate assigning stars to movies, especially when I've just seen them, because I'll so often go back and change my mind. But so it goes-- don't expect these ranks to stay the same for the next year. And now the disclaimer that Josh wrote for me, since he says it better than I ever could.

This is not a definitive list. The order is not fixed. Don't hold me to it, it may well change drastically by the end of the year. This is also not a list only of good movies. It's just an ordered list of everything I've seen (and remembered to put on this list)... of the movies being released in 2008. By released in 2008, I mean that it must be first released in a theater somewhere in the United States at some point during the course of the year in order to end up here. No, film festivals do not count. Yes, limited release dates do. The movies I've liked best are at the top, the ones that suck most are at the bottom. I really hope you didn't need me to tell you that.
