You'll all be happy to know that I at last picked up and read The Dark Knight Returns.
It's good. Quite good. I've never been a huge fan of Batman comics, so maybe I'm just not so experienced with them, but it's a book that really sticks with you.,
Actually, it is quite shocking really to realize how much our world, 10+ years after this book was written has gotten so close to becoming EXACTLY the world Miller has Batman in in the book.
That was really the most striking thing about it to me.
Question though... how did Batman live at the end? I don't get it. Think I missed something there.
