This is ****ing awesome! I'm always bummed when great talents die young -- damn, that's awesome.
Are there other media sorces on this one? I think yahoo.com is fairly solid, but stil... I'd HATE to see this end up just being a hoax.
Wasn't he diagnosed by proper doctors though?

Bah, I don't buy it -- no other news organization has picked up on it, and his first log entry was Monday. I would think they'd pick this one up by now.
Yahoo.com ain't reliable enuf, I don't think.
Edit: Check out the wire service that issued the thing: EMediaWire (http://www.emediawire.com/) has other bizarre threads (along with serious stuff) -- the most current being about the 400 year old ambassador from Mars...
Bah. Bastards.

I am shocked... but kinda skeptical after reading Cogito's last post.

It'll be a real shame if this is all a hoax.
Imagine faking your own death and reappearing after 20 years?
Now that kinds shits on David Blaine's stand-on-a-pole/sit-it-a-box kind of "performance art".

EMediaWire had this story, and pulled it. I am skeptical though since no other site has the news up.
Holy shit, if this is really..that's ****ing awesome! I'm also skeptical on this now..I'll have a look around and I'll have to see some other legit new sites with it up before I really believe it..

i like the guy who claims to be kaufman. he's got charm.
I care about my fans, the ones who understood my rare form of comedy meets performance art spectacle. That's why I'm going to give back to you guys only, and tour the country appearing unexpectedly at local Starbucks and Wal-Marts.
I've been working on a lot of new characters these last twenty years, which I may be disguised as:
- aging comedy legend who still thinks everyone recognizes him
- hippie turned yuppie guy in suit, now with bad coke habit
- aging fat and bald guy who thinks he is god's gift to women
- black turtleneck wearing pseudo-intellectual anti-war nerd-chic guy
- and more.
The tour begins TODAY! Be sure to tell your friends and alert the local media when you spot me!kaufman sightings. gotta love it.
edit: also, this story is now appearing in the London News Review (http://www.lnreview.co.uk/media/journal/001850.php). they aren't convinced. neither are these guys (http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/story/0,1259,---21571,00.html).

Oh no, this is DEFINITELY a prank. Mainstream media may lose a day or two -- but this was announced on Monday... That's way too big a scope. Definete prank.

Yeah, I didn't know he was buried in Elmont. Which is about 2 or 3 minutes down the turnpike from me.
Why the heck is Yahoo running this as fact??? They should be ashamed. Rediculous. What the hell are they doing?
If this were real it would be the biggest news story on the freakin planet. Three seconds of checking could have told Yahoo that it might be suspect.
