Celebrity Autographs - Who's Cool and Who's Cold

Whether a fave celeb autographs or not can make all the difference when it comes to fan support. Some celebs would rather drink pork soda than sign autographs. Others would jump out of a moving limo just to give their fans some ink. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration. At any rate, Kidzworld has comprised a list of five cool and five cold celebrity autographers.
Let the truth be told! Many celebrities are just plain jerks when it comes to signing autographs. Britney

Spears is one of them. She expects her fans to shell out $100 for a ticket to her concert but Britney won't take the time to sign it?

Tobey Maguire is no better. Jeff Woolf, autograph hunter, said in an abcnews.com article that, "the new Spiderman (Tobey Maguire) is so wrapped up in his own egotistical web that he has earned the distinction of being the worst signer of the year."

These stars are definitely on Kidzworld's list of zeroes.

Here is the list of the five lamest autograph signers according to professional autograph hunters, Jeff and Steve Woolf:

#1 - Tobey Maguire
#2 - Cameron Diaz
#3 - Britney Spears
#4 - Gweneth Paltrow
#5 - Carly Pope

Luckily we have such heroes as Angelina Jolie and George Clooney to make up for the zeroes.

"Simply put, Angelina is awesome!," said the Woolf duo in the same abcnews.com article where they slagged Tobey Maguire.

Her fans say Angelina Jolie is very nice and polite and she shows no attitude when they ask her for her autograph.

George Clooney "always has time to sign" and pose for snapshots, said Jeff and Steve. And he does it all without any huffin' and puffin' - what a truly nice guy.

Here's the Woolf's list of their top five autograph signers:

Best Five Celebrity Signers
#1 - Angelina Jolie
#2 - George Clooney
#3 - LeAnn Rimes
#4 - Fred Durst
#5 - Eddie Murphy

It's interesting that at no point does he ever give a context for his autograph hunting.

Tom Cruise is well known for spending up to two hours at premieres in London signing autographs, posing for pics and speaking to fans friend's on their mobile phones.

Is he trying to get these at public events or harassing them while they're trying to have coffee with their girlfriends or taking out their kids or going grocery shopping or something?

No doubt with some of them, the ego has landed. But in other cases he may just be an annoying prat wheedling in during their time off.

Note that this guy is a PROFESSIONAL AUTOGRAPH HUNTER.

I wouldn't give him my autograph either. I might shout at him "get a job you ****ing loser" but autograph? Hell no.

Three cheers for the celebs giving him the cold shoulder.

Just because they give sleazeball losers like this guy the cold shoulder doesn't mean they won't be nice to ACTUAL fans.

Interesting article.

I know for me, I wouldn't sign many autographs if I were famous. I hate to sign my name, and since no one could read it there'd be no point.

I remember hearing how Jim Kelly was the biggest jerk in the world and refused to sign autographs. Meanwhile he was spending time after practices to sign hats, balls, and other things from fans. Not every day though, which may be where he got that rep. Plus he was a bit of a pompous jerk at times, but he still signed autographs. I don't think that a celeb refusing to sign, for any reason, on one day makes them rude.

Who the heck is Carly Pope and who would want her autograph?

You don't stop your doctor in the street to ask about a sore neck. You make an appointment.

A movie star on their own time doesn't owe you jack. Go to an event for your freakin' autograph.
