Voting ends in 3 days.
Keep in mind that you are voting for the band/artist you think is worse.

Nickelback is for sure overplayed...but they aren't one of the worst bands ever.

i love wayne newton.
Nickelback is not a bad band.
Really. Some of these are rediculous.
Anyway, I love Wayne, but much like Shatner he's GREAT because of his badness. I love him and would love for him to win this tourney. He gets my vote.

Doesn't matter, by no stretch of the imagination are they one of the worst bands of all time.
I hate Avril Lavigne but I realize she's not in that company.

Perhaps not the worst, but not by no means any good. I remember a site way back that compared two of their songs and they were almost identical. Not to mention all Chad Kroeger sings about is how much he hate his father.

I feel the need to puncture my ear drums when I hear a Nickelback song on the radio. Does THAT qualify them as bad? :lol

Some of you people should really lay off of the crack once and a while. It's like this is turning into "Older music VS Newer music", with newer music losing just about every time. I just see a trend.

;)
Wayne Newton...he's good. He's a little cheesy from time to time...but then, so was Elvis.

I'm not saying Nickelback is bad. I just personally don't care for their music.
But irregardless of personal opinion, Nickleback doesn't sing or write songs as well as Newton. In all likelyhood, Newton has performed live in front of more people than Nickelback and in the long haul has probably outsold them too. Nickelback's not bad. Newton's just better.
If it makes you feel any better, I don't care for Newton all that much either. :)

Yes, because saying "thank you" over and over again in a different language is SO creative.

Again, I don't think that should be a factor considering that the only reason this is true is because Newton has been around much longer. That's like having a band that was created last month going against a band or singer that has been around forever, and then having one of the main reasons that the new band is "worse" is because they don't have experience. The newer band could be 100 times better than the old one, but the older band would win solely because they've been there longer.

My point was meant to be that Newton is more widely known and enjoyed than Nickelback. The contest didn't specify that we have to compare all artists at the same time period in their careers.
I'm kinda confused how either group actually made it into this contest. I'm not blaming Trip for it by any means.
But if it's one against the other, you have to pick one. I say, Newton's the better act. Do you think Nickelback has the talent to be going strong in 40 years?

You're right...how can it stand up to musical creativity like
yet, yet, yet, no, no
yet, yet, yet, no, no
yet, yet, yet, no, no

:p

You can't blame Nickelback's crappiness on them being newer. They just plain suck.
