While best known as a 1963 Disney animated feature of the same name, The Sword in the Stone was originally written in 1958 as one large volume entitled "The Once and Future King," with "The Sword in the Stone" being only one of a quartet of novels which compose it.

Scripted by Jay Wolpert, the man behind the most recent "Count of Monte Cristo" adaptation, this version promises to be a much more faithful take on White's tale of Arthurian ascension. <!- END STORY TEXT ->
