View Full Version : Kobe Bryant: Charges Dropped- Discuss
Charges are dropped because the "victim" didn't want to continue.
What do you feel about this?
After watching the DA's press conference yesterday, I hate that guy even more. He has been self-promoting since the beginning. Ego maniac.
That doesn't mean I think Kobe is innocent. I'd like to hope he didn't rape that girl.
But regardless, I have no respect for someone who cheats on his wife. POS, if you ask me.

Weird situation, almost get the feeling that the DA was pushing her to continue in this case and that she had finally had enough and finally said screw it.
But to give up this case, and still continue with the civil suit, a situation wherein she won't have half of the protective measures against delving into her personal life, odd.
Did you hear Kobe's statement. He damn near apologized to the "victim". Another odd move.
I think he's an asshole but innocent of this particular charge.
There were too many um... things working against her claims.
Glad that's over with.
On to the civil case where she tries to milk him for money.

Yeah, funny how the civil suit (ie the money) is still going but she's dropping the criminal charges. :rolleyes
And Kobe's statement about the dubiousness of how consensual it was definitely was... odd.

How could lawyers that are being payed millions allow him to release that statement?

I didn't rape her but I realise now that maybe she didn't want to have sex???
Dude, you don't need Perry Mason working for the prosecution to beat you with dumbass statements like that.

I think she definitely decided to go for the money. Was she raped? I don't know. But I think you are right that the DA was pushing for this to continue.
Kobe's statement was weird. I assume he meant to apologize for his "affair" but yeah, it came off odd as heck.

What Hobbit said.
Pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly.

Kobe's statement was weird. I assume he meant to apologize for his "affair" but yeah, it came off odd as heck. The boy doesn't get paid millions 'cuz he's smart. I'm sure if his attorney's had known he was thinking about saying ANYTHING they would have stapled his mouth shut. But, he got off, he got arrogant, and he stuck his foot in his mouth. Doesn't matter. The whole thing will settle out of court for an undisclosed amount and this will all go the way of the OJ trial...gone and mostly forgotten.
