Former Crowded House and Split Enz drummer Paul Hester was yesterday found dead in Melbourne, Australia.

Hester was 46 yrs of age and apparently had been suffering from a bout of depression. Hester's body was found at 1pm on Easter Sunday.

Hester, along with Neil Finn were a driving force behind one of this country's most successful exports....Crowded House.

Paul, Rest In Peace my friend and thanks for the wonderful music and memories.

i got to spend some time with crowded house after they played a show in miami about ten years ago. paul hester was, without a doubt, one of the funniest and most endearing people i've met in my life.

Great comments Mike, and one of the local cable music channels have been playing a Crowded House/Paul Hester tribute package all week, and what a collection of fabulous songs they have written and recorded.

Such a tragic loss, not only to our local Australian music scene, but worldwide.
