"Silk," a short romance novel set in the 17th century. It's about a European silk trader, who -- in his thoughts -- strays from his wife, towards a Japanese woman. It is a very thin book, and took no time at all to read (if Tom Clancy had written it, I'm sure he could easily have padded it out to a 1,200 page book, heheh), which I think is the only reason why I tried reading it. It turned out to be amazingly subtle, and an excellent read. There was no great love or tragedy ala Shakespear, but an elegant simplicity that made for a tale of melancholy, longing, and a message that at least I interpreted as the importance of appreciating and enjoying life.

Every Harry Potter from 2 (or 3?) and on. Which were definitely worth it. Harry kicks ass.

Some Lloyd Alexander books when I was younger (from the Prydain Chronicles). I loved them back then, I should probably try reading them again.

Don't remember any others.

Loads of Pratchette stuff,
Potter 1 - 3 (not all in one day you understand, 3 * 1!)
Loads of Ronald Dahl stuff when I was younger
The Hobbit
Children of the mind
Player of games

This is mostly on holidays - especially if the weather sucks - I just find a cafe and drink juice or coffee & read all day.

NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE
ANIMAL FARM

And I also spent two successive evenings reading THE ENGLISH ASSASSIN by Michael Moorcock, had I done it on a weekend without interruption it would have been one sitting.

some of the Moorcock books are surprisingly short. I know I've read a few of his in less than a few days too.

Just finished Agatha Cristie's Evil Under the Sun yesterday afternoon. Nice, quick, and entertaining Sunday read.
