fiction or non.
for me it's probably medieval or renaisance.
The future!!!!
But aside from that, if we have to pick a real historical time, I'm into medieval mostly. Roman/Greek empire periods are good too.

Absolutely any form of history, fictional or not. Biographies especially. Last historical book I read was Memoirs of a Geisha (fiction, about a girl who becomes a geisha in pre-WWII Japan) and before that, Are You Somebody? (autobiography about an Irish woman growing up in the 60s and 70s).

Factual or based in fact fiction. Definetly late 1700's to 1890's american western history
The future is a great choice, and I also like the Ancient Egyptian era. I have to admit that I definitely like modern stories more than historical ones.

For non fiction I don't really have a preference. To me gleaming knowledge is gleaming knowledge regardless of when it came from.
As for fiction, I prefer non-modern times. Futuristic is just as good as Midevil.
