Holy macarel! I'm a huge fan of the books, read them all several times, but these folks are serious.
Who Did You Hate To Lose?

What characters died in this series and really made you upset? And don't say the Red Viper, Ned. Robb, Syrio or any of the really standard people who have fan clubs and mailing lists and what not

Some of the characters have fan clubs?

Alright, I want to be a part of the process in taking this masterpiece onto film, email me at Coleman780@yahoo.com if you feel like taking the first step

I'm the biggest proponent of these books on this forum, and I really see no need for them to be made into movies.

There is so much going on in the books, that making a movie would be a tremendous task. In order to cut it down to even 3 hours, so much would have to be cut, and it's interwoven so tightly that nothing would make sense.

And that's just the first book. :lol

Very true. That first book would have to be made into its own trilogy / quadrilogy in order to encompass all!

I think I'll make Clash of Kings the next book I read.

Game of Thrones is a wonderful book, but Clash of Kings will make you a junkie. :)

So I should just pretty much clear my reading list of all other books until I get through with Feast for Crows?

My blood started itching I was withdrawing so bad waiting for Feast.

The main difference with reading the second book is that you've already gone thorugh the fairly difficult task of figuring out who everyone is. I understood why you took a break after Game, it's hard work to get his world sorted out.

Fortunately you're not faced with that in Clash as the characters and realtionships stay the same for the most part. It really opens the story up in a much more fluid way than Game was able to.

Well, I'll have plenty of reading time on the flight and waiting for my flights next week, so I'll tuck that one into my carry on.
