Was watching this the other night, as I often do. Its an interesting show, sorta like politically incorrect if it was ACTUALLY politically incorrect, only all the panel members are comedians and try to be funny along with making relevant coments.

So last night, along with some of their usual weasels, Colin has Paul... er somebody or other on there. He's an older black comedian who's head is shaped like one of the California Raisins.

First Topic: 80% of the prison population is black, rappers run around shooting each other on a daily basis, is there any amount of cultural responsibility for this?

Colin first goes to Paul... who says: "You know you came from us don't you?"

Colin: "Huh?"

Paul: "White people come from us. Two black people can make a white person, but white people cannot make a black person. All life on this planet comes from black people."

At this point, Paul launches into a speech about how the white man is evil, literally using those words, Louis Farakhan rhetoric. Not one joke. The guy is just yelling rediculous things blaming all the problems in the world on the "evil white man".

It sounded exactly like Arabs or Nazi's talking about the Jews.

The rest of the night he didn't make one joke.

Colin asks, what would you say to your girl if you got caught in the act of cheating?

Every guy on the panel has some funny joke or line, pretty good.

Go to Paul. He makes a serious statement about how he has never cheated, and how they should talk to the kids and tell them the way to live.

What a total hate mongering dickwad. He's supposed to be a comedian?? He didn't get the point of the show and hasn't a freakin clue about what the world is like.

I hate and have no respect for jerks like that, and from the looks on Colin's face, he'll never be back on that show again.

Sorry, had to rant. The guy was a real self important idiot.

Paul Mooney

He's a pretty radical figure.

I'm curious though, you have a problem with him but the Italian guy who's on every other night and spews his racist crap OVER and OVER is ok?

I watch this quite often as well (it's on just after the daily show, which I love)

Ah yes, Paul Mooney.

The differnce is this:

The Italian guy is making JOKES.

Paul Mooney wasn't even trying to be funny, he was all serious and spewing garbage.

That isn't the point of the show.

Yes, they discuss serious issuses, but they try to do so in a humorous manner. Mooney didn't get it, didn't try to get it, didn't care about getting it.

hehe Paul Mooney is the kind of guy who doe'nst give a rat's ass what you want to see him do or not do.

That is part of his charm.

He is a little odd though, I'll give you that.

He was great as the father in Bamboozled btw.

Some might call it odd... I'd call it hate mongering.

And the Italian guy on the show is indeed an ass, but like I said, at least he is really just making jokes, and you don't really know how serious he is.

Colin Quinn is a horrible comedian, and this is an awful show. I can't believe it hasn't been canned yet. :p

Colin Quinn is often referred to as "the comedian's comedian". In other words other comics REALLY love him, but for the rest of us he is sometimes an aquired tastes.

I really HATED him doing Weekend Update on SNL, but I like him quite well here.

yeah, I never really liked him in Weekend Update, but I love him outside of it. Never seen Tough Crowd though.

EDIT By Admin This is the most vile post I've ever read. Nothing Film Hobbit said even was even remarkably close to your very thin attempt to paint him as racist. And to be honest, don't come to our place and write a freakin essay on race and try to LABEL others as others when you say and I quote "YES! white folk is evil by nature, not all but most". Um.. skin color has no basis for how people act. Funny how your post shows your own damn racism! Buhhh bye.

Paul Mooney is a racist, and there are a lot of black comedians who are racist. In fact, there are a lot of black performers and entertainers who are completely racist. Saying the "white man" is evil in 2003 is like saying "Jews are cheap," "all Italians are in the mafia," and "every Irishman is a drunk."

It's 2003, we need to cut the shit, even if Bordick is a no-good lush. :)

What B1ade said is right (oh great my other lobe has hemmoraged now) us Irish need to stop acting on our stereotypes as drinkers, and start acting on our stereotypes as violent vigilante thugs who say "Thou Shall Not Kill" while they shoot people in the face. (Gotta love the Boondock Saints).

Now get me a some Walker.
