The rules are simple. Play the clip from the movie score and take a guess at what movie the clip comes from.
Only one guess per person per day. A clue will be added each day the movie goes unguessed.

Point to brassguy.
It is indeed Field of Dreams by James Horner. Although, the style of the music for that movie is very similar (in a very technical sense) to a lot of the work of Thomas Newman. Newman composed the scores for both American Beauty and Road to Perdition which is why pheno's and MG's guesses are such good ones.

I need to re-hear the clip and then listen to the American Beauty score and see how close they are. I never would've gotten Field of Dreams though so I dont feel so bad.

Parts of American Beauty that sound similar to the clip have a lot of that odd rhythm feel to it, though Field of Dreams leans more towards a minor sound.

I never would have gotten it either. It just sounded so Six Feet Underish, and I knew the same guy did American Beauty, Road to Perdition, and Jarhead (which would have been my next guess).
That sounds nothing like James Horner, so no way I would have gotten it.

It's early Horner and one of his less melodious scores. While the themes are very unique to the movie, some of the styles and rhythms are similar to things you hear in some of his other early movies, like Wrath of Khan, Sneakers and Red Heat.
Another thing that might have hinted at Newman is the piano. Thomas Newman loves the piano.
