Tough one. But I never really like the Stones. I just can't get into them.

I've always thought the Stones were kinda overrated.

Queen on the other hand...

Ok they made some really BAD music.

They also made some really WONDERFUL earth shattering, incredible music.

But... even their bad music was still creative, and innovative and just... well wildly different. Give em credit for that.

They were often very drunk. This was good, it made the concerts interesting.

I love Queen. I have to vote for them. RIP Freddie.

Bohemian Rhapsody alone should be enough to win this one. But throw in the other greats like:
Queen Killer
We Will Rock You
The Entire Highlander Soundtrack (It's a Kind of Magic)
Another One Bites the Dust

Sorry Stones can't stand up to that.

This is typical.

I always here that the Stones have tons of fans, their concerts ALWAYS sell out.

Yet I have never met a HUGE Stones fan, have never known anyone who even owns any of their albums or even stumbled into one of their concerts by mistake.

Stones fans are an enigma. ;)

I really think its somewhat of a generational thing. When I was growing up I remeber that my brother and most of his friends all really dug The Stones. My age group was 5-6 years younger, and none of us listened to them.

I really liked both. I think the Stones were more influential in the long run but queen had more talent. I still listen to my 40 licks cd all the time though.
