Inspired by my comment in the underused actor forum -

What movies do you like as long as you don't watch the whole thing? Whether it's the ending, the beginning, or something in the middle you have to cut out, by not watching part of the movie it's actually a movie worth watching.

A couple for me:

Planet of the Apes (remake) - This is actually a well done remake up to a point. Marky mark gets his funk on, pretty good performances, abliet a bit over the top, by Tim Roth, Michael Clark Duncan, and Paul Giamatti. Cut it off before the absolutely strange and unexplained ending and it's pretty good.

A.I. Artificial Intelligence - I'm always torn on this one. There are parts of the movie I really like, but I think the ending is too underdeveloped. I usually stop watching when he's finally found the blue fairy and leave it at that. Good ending - proving also that you don't need a happy ending to have a good ending.

DOWN WITH LOVE WORST ENDING EVER!!! AND IT LASTS A HALF HOUR.

AI: Kubrick ****ing hit 10,000 RPMs when that shit went on.

Matchstick Men: QUIT PUTTING IN HAPPY ENDINGS WHERE THEY DON'T BELONG!!!

Well you guys stole my two big ones, both AI and Matchstick Men totally top that category in my mind.

I actually like the ending to Planet of the Apes by Burton. :p not as much as the original of course.

Braveheart - I love the entire movie but I don't need to hear Mel screaming as they disembowel him again, once was enough.

Saving Private Ryan - was great through the D-day landings but steadily loses my interest and just gets too preachy with Ryan in the cemetary with the kids and grandkids. It just seems like the whole movie was concocted to bring you to that moment of reverence.

I always though Jurassic Park III ended abruptly.
