I predict this will sink in the mire of forgettable second-rate superhero movies along with Daredevil et al.

Giving it the benefit of the doubt... Punisher could be very cool if done correctly.

I think that poster looks stupid, duder. It looks like they stole Kate Beckinsale's picture from the Underworld poster and pasted Thomas Jane's head on it, along with the skull logo on his shirt.
It looks very amateurish.

It does look homemade, and also very..."blah." So far, everything I've seen for this movie: teaser trailer, the two posters, and stills, all seem just plain "blah."
This will be Marvel's first big flop.
Guarenteed.
In fact, I predict nothing but flops for them from here on out, unless it is a Spider-Man or X-Men movie.
Oversaturation begins NOW.

I don't think it has enough budget to flop flop. It'll be like Daredevil, box office expectations will be so low that anything will be succesful.
Daredevil at least did some legitimate box office business.
I don't think Punisher will even hit number 1.
Nobody cares about it.
Daredevil managed to cash in on the fading Spider-Man high and the approaching X-Men frenzy... that helped it I think.
Daredevil also wasn't a terrible movie. It was ok.
Punisher I can't see doing anything but sucking.
For one thing, the character isn't something poeple are going to rush out to see in the first place. Most people don't even know who he is. At least Daredevil wore red so that stupid people could confuse him with Spider-Man and wander into the wrong theater.
I still think Punisher can be a marginable hit, you're not giving the property enough credit.
I predicted this movie to suck before I had heard anything about it, but for some reason I have a better feeling about it nowadays.
I like that poster, though not as kickass as the first skull one.
