He's still trying to see if it's possible to name it The Passion in other countries. I doubt that will work, doesn't Miramax want to release their film in other countries too?

The Passion is a much cooler name.

This is just insidious wheeler-deeling inside the studios to try and bury Mel's movie. I'm starting to worry that it's actually a good movie but that the religious zealots are getting their way.

Alot religious flicks are great, even for those who are the most non-religious. I haven't been remotely religious...ever. I saw Ben-Hur, and I couldn't help but be swept away in it. Even Dogma I got heavily into. I have a strong feeling it actually may be beyond good.

The sad thing the naysayers don't seem to realise is that bad publicity for a religious movie is only good publicity as it creates curiosity therefore more people WANT to see it :lol Just ask the Monty Python crew...

Even Dogma I got heavily into were you joking? i dont think most people (mainly the roman catholic church) concider Dogma to be a religious film.
i think this movie could be good. id be interested to see it anyways.

Dogma would be an ANTI-religion film.

Dogma is the most Bible inspired movie out of them all. There's so much expostion that comes directly from it. I wouldn't call it ANTI-religious because it's Kevin Smith and a morbid comedy.

Are you kidding me? Dogma is STRONGLY anti-religion!!! That's the underlying message of the entire movie, that religion is a rediculous, laughable racket.

On the other hand, while it is anti-religion, I think it is also in a weird way, pro-god.

The last few lines of the flick sum up that movie.

RUFUS: Are you saying you beleive?

BETHANY: No. But I have a good Idea.

Resurrecting old threads is allowed if there's a reason for doing it... " just looking for silly things to bring back" is not a good reason.

I've always wanted to have an excuse to use that one, but I never have.
Well, I guess that just gave me one.
Thanks, Dues!
