EDJ reviews a movie where Colin Farrell plays a character called Spanky McSpank... or something. (http://www.filmhobbit.com/cgi-bin/movies/movies.cgi?action=showreview&review=veronicaguerin)
No I'm serious.

Great stuff EDJ. Personally, I don't ever remember hearing about this woman.

. . . I worked with people who knew Guerin (in fact, I've been published in the newspaper she worked for), I wonder if I could get ahold of em and see what they think of this flick -- I bet they probably think it sucks ass.
Ireland is a weird place. In Dublin, on the main street, I once saw punks throwing fire-crackers at cars, for about half an hour, and the Garda, the cops, didn't do a thing about it. It's weird.
When I was there, there was a girl who got involved with this big crime boss, in an abusive relationship. She ended up shooting him, and then turning the gun on herself -- and then the boss' gang came after the poor girl's parents in revenge, bombed their house... Now that's a ****ed up story...

My bad.
I'd be curious to know what they thought as well Cogito.
A lot of the GOOD reviews this has gotten have been in large part because the movie doesn't flinch away from flaws in Guerin's character.

I felt their was no character. Just a placeholder. Didn't let you get inside her head at all.
Your review really sounds about like what I'd expect from it EDJ.
I do wish Cate would stop doing movies like this. It seems to be her "thing".
