1. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Yippee!
They say the entire audience was teenagers.
Figures.
Damn depressing to see Lost in Translation falling out. Very sad. :(
Best movie out in months.
I'm surprised Kill Bill doesn't do better, Tarantino has alot of fans.
It's like I said... how many people were really hungering for a parody of 70's Kung Fu movies?
Steve Odekirk maybe?
Evidentally, not droves.
It is still doing alright. It didn't quite drop 50% which is good these days.
School of Rock has had much smaller drops though! Woohooo!
Well, I'm watching it and I make the difference.

Parody? try homage. There's a difference.

Comments:
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre should have the expected -50% dip next weekend, although it's only heavy competition is Scary Movie 3. If TCM has the same legs as FVJ, then expect a $61 million finish. If it can sustain slighter better legs for a horror movie, expect a finish of $70 - $75 million.
-The drop for Kill Bill is not that bad, especially going by the standards of other movies that opened between $18 - $23 million over the past few weeks (Underworld, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, etc, which all dipped over 50%). This should finish with around $65 million.
-Remember when I said The Rundown was a disappointment? I was right. This is not what Universal had in mind.

I can take a dump in a box and mark it guarenteed, but that doesn't mean you're going to get a good product.
Parody. :p It is no different than The Brady Bunch movie.

Parody is all based on the look on the faces of the actors. and the tone of the flick. Leslie Neilsen Makes a face at a White House Dinner, Parody. Emilio Estevez makes a face walking into the Ninja Turtles playing Trivial Pursuit, Parody. Charlie Sheen makes a face in an airplane, parody. Uma Thurman.....no similar look on her face after killing a bunch of guys, not parody.
Like the Indiana Jones Trilogy is an homage to all the serials of the 40's & 50's. Kill Bill is an homage to the Kung-Fu flicks of the 70's.
Are you sure you haven't been drinking? Your last couple of posts are almost incomprehensible Bordick.
Making a face? What the hell are you even talking about?? :lol :lol

let's just agree to disagree.
I agree with Hobbit, Bordick is either on drugs or has completely snapped.

parody is like saying spoof, if you's guys were to say farce than I'll agree.

OK...
Kill Bill was a farce :p
:lol
Ok, Farce. Not a homage, it is a farce. Glad we all agree. :p
:lol
The difference between parody and farce to me is a lot less than the difference between farce and homage.
