This is George grinding the Star Wars dancing monkey organ again...
Nothing more.
Harrison took a crowbar and blowtorch to do Indy again, so I doubt a creaky ol' Han Solo would interest him.
Plus we all know if George had his way, his would be the only name on a Star Wars end credit reel doing everything from directing to catering to stitching his own flannel directing shirts.
Rick McCallum's probably just done some sums and worked out how much more money he could rape from the series with a CGI overloaded second-gen trilogy.

Either that or Mark Hamill is just sick of having to beg for change.

I would like to see what happens between Ep3 & 4...the jedi purge and whatnot.

I'm sure they'll put books out for the geeks who need closure to fill the gaps.

I don't think that's a problem for him. He's doing quite well... just not as an actor.

Maybe not a full fledged trilogy, but just maybe 3 movies, like a movie between parts 3 and 4, Shadows of the Empire, and a movie after ROTJ. That would be it.

Slightly OT, but do you guys think those SW books would be worthwhile?
The Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn is pretty good!

I wouldn't mind seeing something in the Knights of the Old Republic era. Or even just Knights of the Old Republic made into a movie.

Eh, you have to be careful. Some are very good. Some you might have put a monkey in a flannel shirt in front of a typewriter and say "Have at it, Bucky."
If it has to with the purge, I'm at least giving it a shot. If not, I pass. Besides, I write my own fanfiction, so I fill in the gaps on my own :)

I would love to see Spielberg do a third Star Wars Trilogy, and more to the point, do a trilogy on Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command- the Timothy Zahn books. They're the best Star Wars novels to date, and also the first major ones out in modern times (I'm not forgetting Splinter in the Mind's Eye). Thrawn himself is a very compelling character, and the addition of Talon Kaarde and Mara Jade also makes for some good stuff there as well. And I think with the strides that CGI tech has made, I don't think it would be hard to pull off a new trilogy at all.
On the other hand, they could always get alot of makeup and make everyone look alot younger. But in the case of Carrie Fisher, that might be hard to do. Hammill and Ford wouldn't be much work, but Fisher probably would.

Hammil was in a playstation game hehe, Wing Commander 4 i think it was. in general i hope episode 3 ends the filming of starwars movies, because if not lucas will hold off on a DVD set till 7, 8, and 9 were completed.

No, I say no. Lucas has done Star Wars to death. Granted, I love Star Wars, but the quality of George's work nowadays leaves something to be desired.
Agreed, there is already one Star Wars Trilogy too many.
Ofcourse, it might be a whole lot better if Lucas left the directing to someone else.
If I hadn't seen the prequels, I'd be extremely excited about Lucas making more Star Wars movies.
But since I have I can only think any further movies he makes will be an utter disastor and only further tarnish the reputation of the fantastic original three. Thus, any such announcement only seems sad to me.
Besides, he won't do it. He's said this before then a week later takes it back, only to say it again. I think he says things like that just to keep his current projects in the limelight.
