I don't think F&F3 will happen. The general response to 2 Fast 2 Furious was kind of what happened with another expensive Universal sequel, The Mummy Returns: it made money, but it was so horribly evident that no one cares enough for a third that they will probably skip it. And no, The Scorpion King does not cound as The Mummy III. 2 Fast 2 Furious was pretty good, and the original was ok, I say leave it alone. This franchise isn't exactly hitting any pinnacles.

The whole basis of the rumour in the New York Post was that Universal WANT to make a third installment because they AREN'T expensive to make and the sad truth is that 2F2F made money.

There are some grown men who think 2F2F was a good movie.

1. Teenagers
2. Car nuts

Teenagers dig it for two reasons (its the only logic I can come up with):

1. it's a 2 hour music video

2. simple minds are mesmorized by pretty colors

I have yet to meet a single person who had anything nice to say about that movie. And I'm not talking just friends, EVERYONE who I mentioned it to rated it from "ok" to "sucked."

Actually even I had some nice things to say about it. I didn't hate it. Liked it more than the first actually.
