Adding fuel to the fire of the rumor mill, Cambell comments on Ash's (possible)involvement in Freddy Vs. Jason sequel.
Bruce Cambell: What's more likely--not much more likely, but a little more likely (than Evil Dead 4)--is the other rumor concerning Ash vs. Freddy vs. Jason. We have been talking about doing an Ash loan out, like actors used to do when they were under contract, loan out an actor to another studio. In this case, we'd loan the character of Ash. But it would have to be contractual that Ash would have to kick both their asses. He would have to win, or I wouldn't do it.

So it's unlikley. Not as unlikely as the other unlikely thing but slightly less unlikely.

Would it be any good anyway? I mean, Bruce is a nice guy, but let's be honest, he'll do anything if you pay him.

Goog dag googley mogley, I'd never fault the dude for doing it -- I mean, I totally agree with Bill Hicks when he calls Jay Lenno an evil, sellout whore-comedian who wakes up in the morning and sucks Satan's dick, not just for the watered-down prime-time, junk-food-for-your-brain comedy crap he started serving up -- but the shithead didn't think the millions he hauled in were enough, so he started doing commercials for DORRITOS -- how much of a whore can you be, when you are the king of late night talkshows, and you need to sell snackfoods? That is just evil.
But Ash, hey, that's a totally different story.
Speaking of crazy people who have principles, I ran into some of them the other day -- this guy had a fantastic radio voice, and had done some commercial work, but was really selective about what he did. I just rolled my eyes, and wondered what category he fell into: independently wealthy, childish/naive, or just plain ****ing crazy... Then someone else piped up and agreed with him, and said she would do commercials for Pepsi, but never for Coke.
Wahahah!
