Best Action Movie: Aliens vs. Predator

Aliens has cool guns robots and the Alien Queen.

Predator on the other hand has the coolest group of Commando's ever to grace the screen, a sweet "disarming", more guns then the download program in the Matrix, Arnold at his best, the first appearence of "STICK AROUND" and YU Ukly Modar Fuker!!

Predator hands down.

Aliens. Predator is a great movie, but few films that can match its intensity. I still hold it on a pedastal for comparison with big action sequels I see today. And nothing is quite as awesome as the feel I get when that door opens to reveal a very angry Ripley.

But it is hard to realize how easy it is... Here's how my thought process went:

STEP ONE:
At first I thought this was a hard one, because I was kinda fixated about how Aliens was a sequel, which was both a drawback (because I hate sequels) and a plus (because Aliens was actually a good sequel) -- whereas Predator wasn't -- although it did have a sequel (which I thought was pretty damn decent, to be honest -- the only thing it didn't have, was the cast of the original).

STEP TWO
Then, I got caught up in how I'm a bit of an intellectual, and I questioned how I favored Aliens, because it was a smart film, showing a future of an integrated (if still not politically correct) future, where a female marine kicks ass, and talks just as much smack as the guys (White male marine to Latina marine: Hey, you ever been mistaken for a man? Latina marine: Yeah. Have you? (Of course, there's an entirely different story to all of that)).

But then I realized something DAMN important. YA KNOW WUT? -- I like action flicks as much as the next guy, but WHO THE **** PASSED A LAW THAT SAID ACTION FLICKS HAD TO BE GEARED TOWARDS DOLTS? I'm a smart bastard, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy action flicks.

Ie., Aliens = smart action flick, social commentary, just like Alien (which was a horror movie). Predator = dumb action flick.

So hey, you know wut? I'm a very clever dude. And I like action flicks. Aliens is my kinda flick. Predator -- I can watch it, but ya know wut? It's not even in the same league.

STEP THREE
I guess, if nuthen else, there's the dialogue -- "stick around" is just about as cheesy and banal as you can get. And "I ain't got time to bleed" is just ****ing scary, seeing as it was the title of the Governor's autobiography and all...

There are too many awesome quotes from Aliens to even mention, but hey:
