I meant to put this in the TV forum... Someone can delete/move this. Sorry.
it was alright...it was more of a transitional episode...

Yeah but did you see what theyre gonna transition into? A prison riot!!!! thats a fine line for me and if theyre not careful we may end up finding someone being stalked by a MOUNTAIN LION.
lol good point. yeah the show has a tendency to be a wee bit outlandish . lol
I have never seen an episode of 24, but I've become more interested in it as of late. I might buy the first season when I get some spare cash.

I've never seen this show and I probably never will.
The commercials are so cheesy. Do they HAVE to put Kiefer Sutherland yelling "JUST DO ITTTT!" like an angry Nike spokesman in EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL? At least it feels like every one.

This season has been overly melodramatic at times, but overall just as good as it's previous seasons.
Last night was a bit lame compared to most episodes though. I did feel a little letdown after the climatic ending of the previous episode.

The prison riot was a part of Bauer's plan- he needed to keep the prison guards distracted and preoccupied with the prisoners so that he and Salazar can escape with ease. But as prison riots tend to go, things get screwed up, at least that's how it looks. Bauer could also be stuck in the prison- he misjudged the security detail- and he gets himself "taken hostage" in order to get him and Salazar out.

last night was better. Im not so sure about the whole helicopter thing, though. BTW: did anyone catch Keifers gun safety ad after the show? I thought it was pretty funny.

This weeks' episode was much, much, better. Nice cliffhanger ending too.
So the whole terrorism stuff was a setup just to get Bauer? Interesting. Or was it? We'll see.
But this is where everything begins to change (as I expected it to) from the original storyline into something......different.

I'd really like to know where this is going. I liked last night but Im worried they resolved the virus thing to quick. I would really like to see the next couple of episodes focus on the other CTU agents like last night, that was nice.

Anyone watch last night??? I think this was the best one so far this season. I liked the way they focused on the other characters instead of jack. Now if they would just drop the palmer story....
Oh yeah, how about that twist??? I thought it was GREAT! Never even saw it coming...

HOLY SHIT! So good.
I won't post any spoilers until tomorrow incase someone out west makes the mistake of coming in here. Yeah, it's a PWYSI thread...but you know how people are.
I nearly had a heartattack during the school lab scene though.
This season had some of the best episodes in the history of 24, but I still think the finale of season 1 rules above season 2 and 3.
And it looks like they're going with an almost clean slate starting in January, as most of the past story lines have been resolved one way or another.

Actually the last info I had said next season would tie up a lot of the past 3 seasons' loose ends.
Most human moment for Jack Bauer ever at the end there. That's what 24 hours spent like that will do to you. I was amazed with the sheer emotion Sutherland showed in that last scene.

Yeah I thought it was really great to show that. I think this was definately the best finale so far.
Another thing: most of the cast (Tony, Michelle, Chase)wont be back next year so I don't think 4 will be tying up too many loose ends.

It's true; I was going to post a news topics about it but it's just as good here. Also, Kim will have a very minor role next season and it's undecided whether Chloe will or will not be coming back.
Anyways, that was a really good season finale. This season was a little shaky for a while, but it got really good in the second half. I'm pretty happy with it over all.

yeah, from what I understand they're starting with a pretty clean slate next season.
I'm interested to see what role Palmer will play, seeing as how he won't be president. We'll probably get to see their friendship become more real, but I have a feeling that he'll only be on a few episodes.
That ending with Jack in the car was brilliant. Sometimes even Jack Bauer can't be detached.
I still think the first season's ending was better, and that's after a few viewings on DVD. It's still really good.

Yeah, I'm bummed about Michelle and Tony, but could care less about Kim and Chloe. About time Kim disappeared and Chloe was about as useless as they come.

Finally saw this. I was disappointed overall with how many "Oh shit" cliffhangers there were in this season compared to season 2, but it eventually picked up storywise.
Overall a good wrap-up, still a wee bit of a shame that so many major characters have basically been written off but it's also good that 24 never wraps everything up neatly, the happy ending doesn't come without a price once all's said and done.
I've STILL not seen season 1 :lol

I actually havn't seen any of Season 1, either. I joined in about half way through the second season and I'm hooked now. The Season 1 DVD is ony my wish list.

I started watching from the beginning but fell out about halfway through season one. I avoided spoilers and picked up season one before season two aired, insistent upon watching it before season two started. Well, I only managed to make it through two disks before season two, so I immediately found out how season one ended. :(
I haven't watched the rest of the set since. So... I too haven't seen all of season one - and I own the DVD set.

Sadly I knew about most of Season 1's cliff hangers before Season 2 through stupid TV presenters who couldn't keep their mouths shut.
