What Canadian bands have you heard of? For a long time people have associated Canada with being crappy at music and I blame that on horrible musicians like Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback. For some reason, only the bad Canadian bands ever make it outside of Canada.
Matthew Good Band (I believe they're from Canada), Nickleback...and I had one more in mind, but it just escaped my mind..more later.

Matthew Good is by far my favourite musician. Have you heard his solo album?

Actually, Trip..I only know that his band is from Canada, I really haven't heard much of their music..but I have heard a few of his songs though, not bad.

He's a HUGE rock star. He's the King of the World. He's a living Legend. He's the Highlight of the night! He's Vitamin C! and what ever other crappy tagline he seems to come up for himself.:D

i really like Sloan. The Tragically Hip also, though not as much. i dated a canadian for awhile who thought it important that i get exposure to 'real' canadian music, so i've heard a fair bit of it.
is it true that canadian radio stations are required to play like 66% canadian music? i love canada and often think of moving to bc, but i'm not sure i could handle that. though come to think of it, can't be much worse than the predominately religious/country stations up here.
