where I live. It's going to make for a great day at work in the morning.
Ahh well it could be worse I could live in Texas where people can't drive in one inch of snow let alone 5 to 6 inches.
Tips should be good though.
It's supposed to maybe snow tomorrow where I live...tips should be good for me too.:blat

It's like Atlanta. The mention of the word snow in the forecast causes sheer panic in people, who then rush to the store for bread, milk, and eggs. Anyone who has lived here for ANY length of time knows that if the roads are too icy/slick to drive on today, you'll be able to drive on them tomorrow. It doesn't last very long in the South. Except for The Storm of the Century, March 1993 (if I could make it in bright flashing neon letters, I would). I think that lasted for about a week.

she speaks the truth. The meer hint of frozen precipitation causes bread and milk to fly off the shelves.
It's hilarious to me after I learned how to live in the cold after being in Michigan for 1 1/2 years.
The Snow Storm of the Century that Absy talked about was while I was a freshman at UGA. lol No school for 2 or so days and I think we had 8 inches of snow. Mind you, we don't have snow plows and such... but it was still funnny.
Snow in Texas is scary.
But we have none, and probably won't have any.
We're getting quite a bit of snow right now..an inch or so so far, and going steady..just started a few hours ago.

This is the forecast for my area for today and tomorrow:
Today: Snow likely. Cold. High 26F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 6 to 10 inches of snow expected.
Tonight: Periods of snow. Low 23F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 4 to 7 inches.
We could get between 10 and 17 inches by tomorrow evening. It's snowing like a mofo right now. Me thinks they'll be no school tomorrow.

I live about 3.5 hours Northwest of NYC. I'm right between Binghamton and Ithaca.

Our area is known as "the Southern Tier". It's very pretty and it's very rural.
As of right now we've got about six inches and the snow is really coming down.

Whooz, My hubbies family hails from the Catskills, up around Cairo, NY. That area, and the area you're in is Bee-you-tiful! I love it and would love to just move up there to live.
Except in the winter.
Which is why I live in Florida.
I just came back from a walk on the beach. It was a little windy and chilly (in the 70's), but still quite nice and relaxing.
Snow? What's that?

Much as I like warm weather... I need my annual snow-fix.
Figured you probably lived in NY somewhere whoozyer.:)
And it stopped snowing here a while ago, in fact I would be suprised if the snow that did fall is still going to be on the ground come nighttime.

I don't see how any human being could do that to themselves. It's absolute torture.:)
Seriously. There is no excuse for not going to a midnight showing. I mean, all you're doing that time normally is sleeping anyway. Which is more important? LOTR or sleep? The choice should be easy folks.

Which is why I've been awake for the past 23 hours. To become overly tired and sleep all day tomorrow so I'm not tired at the Midnight screening (which I've relented and am going to) Tuesday Night. Thank God I'm off 'til the new year!!!
You're such a geek Bordick. ;)
