Sharpen your ice skates, put the Club on your zamboni, whip out your loonies, put the Sleeman cream ale on ice and lock up your poutine, because Conan O'Brien is bringing "Late Night" to Toronto.
Actually poutine (a tasty dish of french fries, cheese curd and gravy) is more of a French-Canadian thing, but you can be sure that the broad generalizations and stereotypes will be flying (in a good humored way) when O'Brien spends a week in Canada.
From Feb. 9-13, 2004, "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" will be broadcast from Toronto's Elgin Theater. This will mark the second road trip in the 10-year history of "Late Night." In 1999, the NBC show visited Los Angeles for a week of shows.
"Because of NAFTA, I had to take the show somewhere and Mexico wouldn't take me," O'Brien says.
Guests for the Toronto week have yet to be announced, but hopefully they won't be hosers, eh?
