why I'm annoyed. She showed me these boots she bought Allie. They go up her leg almost to her knees. I just stare in disbelief at em. And she says "what's wrong, they are cute". I respond "THEY ARE DAMN HOOKER BOOTS" My daughter is growing up WAYYY too fast for me.

Ouch. I hope I never have daughters. I'd be nuts about stuff like that. I sympathize.

Same here. It would kill me to know that there are still guys like me roaming the streets.

Matt...calf boots are all the rage.

They look so cute with skirts and dresses. It's not the boot part that you have to be worried about...it's the heel. Are they a soft, rubbery heel or a stacked, slippery one? Beware the stacked heels...she'll slip a lot. I got my daughter (age 8) the wrong kind at first but then got the rubbery heeled ones and they were much more little girlish.

You'll see when she has them on with a nice long dress or skirt...she'll look very cute and not hookerish. :)

Guns are too impersonal.

Baseball bats are where it's at.

Nothing says "Get your greasy horny adolescent paws off my baby girl" better than a thwak round the chops with a home-runner...

Omgoodness Matt....My girls have the Marykate and Ashley boots. :)They've got them in both brown and black. You'll be okay with them they're very cute.

It's such a trend these days to dress kids like little hoochie-mamas. I refuse to let my girls wear jeans that barely cover their butts, anything with words written across the ass, anything with fringe or zippers that open up the whole piece of clothing (like jeans that zip up the side) and some of the shirts they make for girls are just crude.

I'm a daycare provider and one of my daycare kids comes walking into my house looking like a stripper every day. She's 10. She wears these pants that either snap or zip up the side and she always wears them open to the mid calf area. Then she wears these black boots that are only ankle boots...but the heel is approx. four and a half inches of hard, black rubber. The kind of boots you see teens and strippers wear. It's disgusting. I want to slap her mother. Everything she buys the kid screams "I'll be pregnant when I'm 13!!"

I could do a whole Bordick's Rage just about this one family...so I'll stop now before my blood pressure gets too high.

When I have a daughter, I'll be very polite to the boyfriends. I'll give them a tour of the house and end with showing the lads my collection of swords and daggers.:D

Whooz, yeah they are cute but man my first reaction was reactionary Dad! lol The boots are a dark brown, light brown combo. I think we are talking about the same pair of shoes. lol

Tay, One of my girlfriends in high school had a very interesting dad. Everytime I went to pick her up, he was cleaning his shotgun, or rifle... For the first few months he never uttered a word to me besides "She will be back her at 11:00" or whatever. Dude... she was NEVER late.

I got boots for my daughter too. She begged and begged and begged.

I found her black calf boots with a wedge heel, but I really really hate them. It really looks like she should be singing "Deutschland, Deutschland" and kicking in doors with them.

*sigh*

Fashion, man.

I have to agree with Whoozyer, there's a big difference with the heals of boots/shoes. Riding boots are not scandelous, "hooker" boots (as you put it) with sharper heals are a different matter though.
