Focking Intelliflix!
They don't have Primer (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/660305h.jpg)!
I will have to go to a place called Coreno's Video (http://www.corenosvideo.com/) instead. They are a discount video chain exclusive to the Cleveland area. Their new releases are like 2 bucks. So I guess I will have to drive to the video store for a change.

Yeah....
I just realized something.
Primer (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/660305h.jpg) is not going to release on DVD until April 19th. Maybe that is why it hasn't showed up at www.intelliflix.com yet.
Hmmmm.

Me and my whole family had seen this movie at Christmas time. I really enjoyed watching this one again on DVD. I watched the Extended Version. This option, really shouldn't be labeled as an extended version...seeing there were only a very very small amount of brief scenes added to the film. However... I did like the last extended scene at the end with Ben Stiller talking to.... Ben Stiller ( of all people ). Great stuff! :thumbup

Side Note:
Gaylord's Father ( Dustin Hoffman ) still reminds me of my Uncle Jeff alot. That was personally really funny to me.
Side Note 2:
Critics should be ashamed for bashing this movie. It was a very delightful comedy that had heart. What more do you want from a friggin' movie people?

Star Trek Original Series's: Return To Tomorrow (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/TOS/episode/68762.html)
This one was greatness. Higher more advanced beings were trapped within these spheres and needed to build android bodies by using Kirk, Spock, and a younger more attractive version of Dr. Pulaski from TNG. I really loved the line Kirk said about..."Risk is our business. It is WHY we are out here." Great message for people of all ages to read into.

Oh boy...this one suckethed bad. Someone from work told me I should go see this one. I really got to start to listen to my intial gut instinct on certain movies. The movie offered me nothing. It was completely useless. It's movies like these that make me want to invent a friggin' time machine...just so I can get my life back from watching bad movies like this one.

Final Cut (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/654746h.jpg)
Great friggin' movie! It's got a really good lesson to the film, too. Very intriguing for a sci fi drama. However...seeing I am not big on drama's usually....except See Bisquick and Lost. I probably will not add it to my DVD collection. The one thing I didn't like though...was the ending. It could have been better.

Seems impossible to track that DVD down over here. The version I have goes by the alternate title 'Graveyard Tramps' and was released by some cheapo no-name company :(
Anyway, just done watching John Carpenter's The Fog. One of his finest movies there :)

Star Trek Original Series: Whom Gods Destroy (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/TOS/episode/68802.html)
This was somewhat entertaining. I skipped ahead and watched this episode because it had an Orion Female ( A Green Animal Slave Woman ) and I wanted to see if she would behave properly...after having watched...Star Trek Enterprise's: Bound (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/9399.html) two weeks ago. Alas....it is possible that she had not had not been like average Orion Women ( As depicted on Enterprise ) because she was mentally insane or ill. I really did not like how the female Orions were depicted in Enterprise's Bound. It seemed a little hard to believe. Anyways, in conclusion, Whom Gods Destroy is an interesting story idea....but turned out to be just an average episode. The part I found funny was when Kirk and the Orion female had been wrestling....and you could see the Orion female's makeup coming off onto Kirk's hands. Too funny.

Star Trek Original Series: The Mark of Gideon (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/TOS/episode/68804.html)
The premise of this episode was a little extreme. People on a planet....were the population was sooo high that no one had any privacy whatsoever. Every square inch of the planet was covered with people who could not die. Pretty silly. Anywho...I enjoyed Kirk hitting on the hot blonde...and Spock trying to use logic in trying to convince the Gideon Excellency.

Star Trek Original Series: Let That Be Your Last Battlefield (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/TOS/episode/68800.html)
This was really campy. From the in out zooming on the red alert on the wall...to Kirk telling the crew ( on the intercom ) to go back to regular ships routine....to weird powerful aliens that are black on one side and white on the other. I see the point that they were trying to make with this episode....but it didn't really work for me. Actually there was a Star Trek Enterprise episode titled...Chosen Realm (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/3394.html) that tried to follow the same premise. I hate to say it....but I think I liked Chosen Realm a little better.

Blade Trinity was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. In fact, I might say it is the best one... out of all three. However...the Blades still need to ground themselves a little more in reality for me. Granted...it is about vampires ect....but these Blade flicks still never truly impress me on any level. That said...I laughed my ass off at Hanibal King's character. He was really funny. Him and those focking vampire dogs. Too funny!

Star Trek Enterprise's Broken Bow ( Pilot Episode ) (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/121932.html)
I used to love this pilot episode alot. But with the fact that the producers and or writers had never tied up or explained the Temporal Cold War, Future Shadow Guy, and or the Suliban...this dramatic beginning seems to fall flat a bit....seeing that there is no proper end in sight. That said...it is still a very entertaining episode. It is just a shame they didn't do anything with the series a bit until season 3 and 4. And even those seasons are still missing important story telling basics.

Star Trek Enterprise's Fight or Flight (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/121938.html)
This 2nd episode couldn't have been more un-original. It was a complete rip off from the Voyager aliens known as the Vidians. I think if the show had at least started off like they did with the majority of season 4 from the very beginning....I think the show wouldn't be in danger of cancelation now. Plus Hoshi should have been sent back home if she was having second thoughts about space travel.

This was the first episode I had really enjoyed watching on the DVD set so far. It made me laugh. Even though this was a fun episode...it still had some flaws. Why didn't Archer...later ask for the aliens holotechnology after they had helped negotiated in giving it to the Klingons? Anyways...I know a lot of Trek fans hate this episode...but for me...it was still neat to see this one again.

Star Trek Enterprise's Terra Nova (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/121956.html)
Yeah...they should have called this episode "Terrible Blah-Blah-Blah", instead. It was not really necessary to see some stupid generational humans with painted faces and machine guns. How they had machine guns after two generations being an extremely primitive underground culture? One can only guess. So it doesn't surprise me Berman and Braga ( The hated producers ) had written this stink themselves. One of the worst Enterprise episodes by far. I put it up there with the stupidity of North Star (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/3150.html) ( Which was about the crew being a bunch of stupid cowboys ).

Star Trek Enterprise's Andorian Incident (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/121962.html)
It is amazing how this episode just snuck in here. It was really quite great! Jeffery Combs plays an Andorian known as Shran...and he does quite an excellent job at it, too. He and his Andorian shipmates hold Archer, T'Pol, and Trip hostage in a Vulcan monastary because they believe that the Vulcans have some kind of spy technology and or station somewhere on the Vulcan planet. Definitely one of my favorites from Enterprise!!!

This season was better than I remember. I still think they made alot of mistakes storywise overall with the show... but it still entertaining in a mindless kind of way. The out-takes were really...really...really funny.
The deleted scenes were interesting.
And I forgot how good the episode "Shuttlepod One (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/series/ENT/episode/122771.html)" was. Also the outside packaging for the DVD is...really cool lookin' (http://www.mcnally95.com/graphics/news6/Enterprise_4Seasons.jpg)....even though, they kinda look like Right Guard's clear gel under arm deodorant sticks.

Yep. This movie was a disaster. Just as bad as House of the Dead...but with a better production look slightly. It was like everything was a jumbled mess...that didn't make any coherent sense. Oh... it's time for the flash back sequence using a cool camera shot. Oh....it's time for the mindless love scene. Oh...
it's time for the psychic military guys ( That showed no psychic ability ) to fight creatures with Rock Music for no friggin' reason. Oh...it's time to put in a flat surprise ending that we don't give a sh*t about. Almost every line spoken by the actors had made me roll my eyes and groan. :rolling2
However...that said. There was only one scene that lasted like 2-5 minutes...that was somewhat descent or okay...but still not by any means good or great. It was when Christian was fightin' this bald dude with a goatee and sun glasses.

Started to watch the first 25 minutes of...
Life Aquatic (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/667276h.jpg).
Let's just say I was waiting for the movie to get good or interesting after the first 10 minutes....I gave it another 15 just in that small chance it might pick up...and it never did. Either the humor escapes me...or I didn't find the story all that interesting. It was waaaay too slow paced for me. Kind of reminded of...the slow and boring...
Lost in Translation (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/575071h.jpg) flick.
My top two favorite movies with Bill Murray were...
Groundhog Day (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/43161h.jpg)
and...
The Man Who Knew Too Little (http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/1033h.jpg)
Both of which in my book.... were A+'s.
But "Lost in Translation" and "Life Aquatic" were simply too boring... that I had to shut off in the first 25 to 30 minutes. So personally, I give them both an F.
Talk about put ya to sleep.

Mr: No, I haven't. I want to watch every movie she's ever been in, but I've only seen Sabrina and My Fair Lady. Though I've made a point of seeing the second several times. I long ago decided if I could ever be in any play of my chosing and play any part, I'd be 'enry 'iggins.
Mrs: Yeah, it's renowned for a plot you have to pay attention to to get, and still might confuse you. I talked to my dad about it and he said back then you weren't used to movies like that, so the plot was really crazy. Now, movies like that are so common that you expect most of the twists. The minute they introduced the feds I knew they were in on the scam, too, just because I've seen things like that in movies before. It's still a great movie, though.

I'd argue that that's the Passion of the Christ, but that's because of what's personally important.
It's intelligent and it's profound, yes. I should probably read the book, I might enjoy it. But that doesn't make it an entertaining movie. It just drags on and on. I don't mean length of the movie, I mean scenes. Too long goes with nothing happening. There's no sound, no music, long shots of ships or people just sitting there and doing nothing. It's grueling to watch and I don't like grueling.

I think that movie is exactly what it would be like to actually BE in space, from second to second. I am always overcome with a DESIRE to go into space when I see it, and nothing else evokes that in me. It's like seeing a movie about a vast ocean and then wanting to go out there. I HATE boats, but a good seafaring movie can make we want to go out in one. I am not wild about planes, but watching Chuck Yeager break the sound barrier in THE RIGHT STUFF made we want to get in a jet. That's talent. Kubrick communicated the feeling of a long-term journey in space, so much so that I found the prospect exhilarating.

This was great to see again. I loved this one. I know alot of folks didn't like it because of the lovey dovey scenes seemed unbelievable, but it didn't bother me. The only thing that I would nitpick...would be the C3PO comedy lines.
However, I am willin' to overlook it. Especially when Episode 1 is still really aweful. I wouldn't even own Episode 1 if it wasn't for the rest of the great episodes so far. Anyways, Episode 2 still impresses me with it's witty special effects and Master ( Obiwan ) and Padawan ( Anakin ) banter. It is also pretty solid in the fact that it is setting up for the next story. The story which we ALL want to see. Which is Anakin slicin' up Jedi as if they were steaks. Don't know why, but this time I really enjoyed Yoda's lightsaber fight sequence, more than usual, too.

A truly original comedy.
And I own the Friday the 13th box set, too.
I thought the special features were interesting. Part 6 and 7 was the best out of the 8 movies in that set. I picked up 9 and 10...after the box set and wished I had'nt.
9 really didn't have Jason in it all that much. At least in the sense that we know him.
10 took place with a bunch of idiots in space.
The idiots in 1-8 are more forgivable because they are bunch of party drinking kids which is a "staple" of horror movies.
My favorite horror icons are...
1.Micheal Myers ( Proudly own Halloween 1 and 4 ) ( Those were the only two that I liked out of the 8 )
2.Jason Voorhees ( Proudly own 1-8 boxed set )
3.Freddy Krueger ( Proudly own Freddy vs Jason )

Episode 4 (http://www.dvd-live.de/images/cover/starwars4.jpg)
Star Wars Episode 4 ( A New Hope ) is simply a classic. For the most part... I loved this revamped Special Edition version. The only thing that is kinda awkward is when Obi-wan makes a new stupid noise to scare off the sand people. Besides that...I loved the added little FX spots. It definitely adds to the experience. Also, after having seen Episode 3 in the theaters opening night....it is definitely a treat watching the original with all the proper context...of what has transpired before. I mean the way Vader takes command of the situation at the end of Star Wars by piloting a ship himself to take care of the matter is sooo cool with the knowledge that we know Anakin had shown through out the first three prequels that not only does he fly around alot in some kind of ship.... he actually enjoyed it, too. Great stuff.
This is probably no news to anyone else, but I noticed that each prequel movie makes some kind of tie in to one of the original trilogy films. At the end of a New Hope.... we see a celebration is held and the Princess puts metals around Luke, and Han. R-2 makes a noise and she smiles looking over at him. This ending scene appeared to be kinda similiar to the ending scene in Episode 1. The Gungan leader was holding a glowing ball in honor of everyones success. Padme looks over at Anakin and smiles. Now in Episode 2 ( Attack of the Clones ) we see the movie end with Anakin and Padme getting married while we catch a glimpse of Anakin's mechanicle hand. Now at the end of Episode 5 ( Empire Strikes Back ) we see Luke holding the princess with his new bionic hand as they stare out a window. Now in Episode 3 ( Revenge of the Sith ) SPOILERS.....
We see Senator Palpatine or the Emperor trying to convince Anakin to take Dooku's life. Now in Episode 6 ( Return of the Jedi ) the Emperor tries to convince Luke to strike down Vader ( Anakin ) when he is down on the ground beaten and defensless. The only thing I would change in a New Hope if I were Lucas...is the lightsaber battle sequence between Obi-Wan and Vader. I would have made em both fight alot like they did in the prequel films. Perhaps he plans on doing this at some point.
However, Episode 4 ( A New Hope ) was fantastic. The chemistry between all of the characters was the best.

Episode 5 ( The Empire Strikes Back ) is my absolute favorite out of the original trilogy. It had a descent lightsaber sequence. It didn't have focking stupid Ewoks, or those really retarded Gungans. It didn't have unbelievable dialogue. Back in the day...I didn't enjoy this flick as much because Yoda reminded me of a fockin' muppet. And I had nightmares about Kermit the frog biting me with... "shark' like teeth". Anyways...after seeing Episode 2 and 3 I couldn't help but appreciate Yoda's character now. Empire is great, from start to finish. Love the special edition redo on Cloud City... the snow beast... ect.
The part were Vader reveals to Lucas ah em sorry... I mean Luke... that he is his father is one of the more classic scenes that went down in the entire history of the Jedi Arch- I mean... Star Wars in general.

I rented this after watching the first season of Survivor on dvd a few months ago in preperation for brainstroming on PinkCat's next feature. The movie isn't really good, but that wasn't the point. Yeah. Colleen Haskell deserves to be in more stuff. Her last movie gig was "The Animal" ( 2001 ). She is a very talented and attractive actress who deserves more exposure.

Well...I wouldn't necessarily call her 'talented' or even an 'actress'. Based on the enormous success of the first 'Survivor', she became an instant celebrity. They just capitalized on it by putting her in a movie. She basically just plays herself. (kinda like you or me in PTM)
Anyhow, she pretty much stated that she really didn't want to become an actress after doing this, so I doubt we'll be seeing her in anything else. Last I heard, she was working as a producer on the Michael Essanay Show (the one with the kid who runs a late night talk show out of his parents house.)
Oh well. We'll always have Borneo...
