I have no plans for New Year's Eve. I have to work on New Year's Day so I don't think I'll get drunk.

Husband has to work, so it'll probably be me in front of the TV watching movies and watching the various New Year's Eve shows that will be on.

A bunch of my friends and I go out bowling ($50 for the lane for the night) and drink heavily. :)

New Years Eve - For some reason I have an issue with obligatory drunks, when you feel it's damn near required that you go out and drink yourself stupid. That being said, I'll probably go bar hopping with a few friends and put on the obligatory drunk.

I've never been drunk on New Year's before, so this will be new to me. Last year, I watched the Sex & the City marathon, but was the only non-drinker in the group. Got to see people mix their alcohol types, eat random food, and then barf it all back out, twas lovely.

I get to work until midnight tonight! Not only is this New Years Eve...it's my 2 year anny at work. Yay.

I get to spend New Years Eve "partying" with recovering addicts and alcoholics...

..but when I get home...I am drinking *something*

1) Go see Return of the King at 7pm

2) come home

3) kiss my sleeping girls

4) kiss the sleeping wife (she never makes it to midnight)

5) come hang out at Cinema Blend

If friends decide to do nothing, I may brave the snow shortly after midnight and partake in some "first-footing". A scottish tradition of being the first person to enter someone's house in the new year, obliged to be celebrated by much drinking... that'll learn em!

Got a cold a few days ago... It was pretty crummy the first day, and when I woke up the next morning, I didn't think I was gonna make it out of bed -- the weather was just horrendous -- the worst I've seen in ages: cold, pouring rain, and really cold... I had plenty excuse to stay in bed. But I weather colds better than most people, and I always feel better if I do something (even if I feel like crap at first), so I got up, np. And sure enough, by the end of the day, I felt way better already. I'm a tough mofo, I am, yes I am. Then, I just went boom, biddie-bye-bye, no more juice in them batteries. Woke up feeling even worse today. Shit. This crap is gonna get worse before it gets better.

Oh yeah, happy New Year.

I didn't really have plans, but boy did I have a good time.
Here's what can happen when you're having a party with friends who know you have a slight problem with saying "no" when someone offers you a drink.
