openoffice.org (http://www.openoffice.org/)
has anyone heard about this? I came across this over at Flashkit.com, and it seems people are pretty happy about it. Doesn't have all the features of Microsoft Office yet, but it's pretty damn sweet still -- seeing as it is entirely free, being open source and all.
I've been working with PHP for a while, which is part of the "LAMP" thing (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP package), and an open souce competitor to commercial products like Microsoft's ASP, and Macromedia's ColdFusion (Hell, Macromedia has built in support for PHP in both their Dreamweaver and Flash products, which speaks volumes about how important PHP has become).
It's a completely anti-capitalistic, gold-darn communist revolution is going on in the computer world! Now, I don't think such a revolution would be good in the real world, but in this universe, it would be fantastic.
