Do you download music off the web? Do you pay for it?
I'm clueless about this part of the music world...educate me.
I have Real Player and I store music on it from CDs that I listen to...but I know nothing about getting music on-line.
Do you have to have an mp-3 player? Can you store music from the internet on something like Real Player?
Are there any sites out there that still let you get music for free or are those days long gone?

Well so far we seem to be a united front in that we either get music for free off the net or we just go buy it in the stores.
I'm actually very surprised no one has said they use the pay services...they are making huge amounts of money these days...so somebody's using them!
I still don't know squat about this. I did look at my realplayer and they are now offering a paid service right thru them.
I suppose no one wants to tell where they get free music because they don't want to lose their source, eh?
I voted buying it at a store,, but I have used the pay service before. I used Rhapsody and it was very good. But at home, I only have dial up and it is horribly tough to download with 56K. If I had DSL at home, I'd use it way more than buying from stores.

I dont download music much unless its something rare like a live or unreleased song. if you're looking for free music you may want to try Kazzaa, Whoozer:)

I usually buy CDs, but if I'm not sure about a new artist, I might download a few of their tracks off of Kazaa.

i'm a K-Lite-aholic
I have a private 'warez' board that I go to for full albums, and if I can't get what I want there, I use mIRC. There are a select handful of artist that I support, and I will go and buy their albums. And also if there is a band I want to check out, and their CD is on sale or something, I might pick it up.
