Category: Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game
Developer: Turbine Entertainment
Publisher: Vivendi Universal Games
Release Date: Late 2004
Platforms: PC

The lowdown:
This is the only MMORPG that really matters. Based on the books, MEO starts off after the Fellowship passes through Moria. You play as either a Hobbit, Elf, Dwarf or Man and the Main storylines involve the impact of the fall of the Balrog and the Wights of the Barrowdowns, who become restless after the hobbits carry the Ring through their domain. While we wont be seeing any of the fellowship, some familiar characters- Tom Bombadil, Elrond, Bilbo, Bard, etc.-will have roles in the game.

Smeagol Says: No singing Bombadil, Please!!

The Return of the King game RULES.

I finished it last weekend. FANTASTIC game, if a little short.

I've got the RotK game as well for the PC. Very, very impressive all around. It does have some replayability ( is that even a word? ), and the graphics are pretty amazing. Really good if you enjoy just getting in and hacking the heck outta orcs and such.

Only thing to note - get a controller if you get the PC version. Running it off the Mouse and Keyboard is especially difficult.

Yulin, so that means you can't play it co-op on the PC then?

That's the way man. Total blast.

The ROTK game is awesome, I need to start playing it again. Definitely the best of the LOTR games.

You can, but you must have at least one controller. Before Ms Santa gave me the controller, the Co-op function wasn't enabled. Once I put the controller in I could. I assume you could by a second controller...hell, maybe even a third or fouth and co-op it. But I haven't explored that possibilty since my much better half doesn't really get into those sorts of games.
