Nicely done! I especially liked your comments regarding character portrayal. And the nod to the low-budget production. And...

Since I don't really keep track of what's up and coming ::blush:: I had no idea that Mad Max was out on DVD. With commentary, no less!! This will definitely be added to my collection.

I caught the last half of the movie on TV a few days ago. It's shocking to see how young Mel Gibson was. I had forgotten how "immediate" the story and look were. It's one of those "5 minutes into the future" (well, maybe 5 months) stories. Thanks to The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome, we know how badly things turn out for us.

It just aches to watch this movie. But in a good way.
