What are yours? Discuss them below after you nominate them in Smeagol's Tournament Thread! I'm listing my TOP TEN one at a time, each with it's own post.... starting out with my all time favorite:

1. Starcraft (PC) [x-pac Brood Wars]
My favorite game of all time. Command & Conqure really started the RTS game going, but Starcraft I think made it what it is today. Sporting three different playable races, with completely different units and abilities, Starcraft opened up a whole new can of strategic possibilities. Replayability is off the scale. (I still play it regularly). It also has one of the most compelling story driven campaign's I've ever played... something few games, especially RTS games seem to bother getting right anymore. Oh and the graphics still kick ass. Beautiful.
Favorite Race to Play: Protoss
Favorite Unit: Protoss Proton Cannon
Most Satisfying Unit to Deploy: Terran Siege Tank
Favorite Character: Raynor
Toughest Race to Fight Against: The Zerg (hordes and hordes of attackers!)

will do :)
My number one game of all time is System Shock 2.
A truely revolutionary game. The atmosphere is just amazing!!
I mean this game SCARED me! There were times when I was afraid to look and see whats around the next corner!! I love how the backstory is a big mystery that slowly unravels as the game progresses. And the twists!! oh yes I love it.

This wasnt a very popular game so Im guessing none of you guys have played it. If you ever get a chance to pick this up, I suggest that you do! It can be tough but its worth the trouble!!

BEHOLD IT'S BEAUTY:

Here's my #2....

2. Halo (XBox)
Greatest first person shooter ever made. Why? Key is the incredible level design, which delivers massive, lush, terrain filled maps for outdoor environments, and complicated indoor maps. Also key is the shield recharge system... which sets it up so that the way to win is not just to charge around shooting. Halo makes sure you USE COVER and USE IT WELL in order to win. No other FPS quite does it as well. Then there are millions of little things... that Halo just does right. The way you can drive vehicles... fantastic campaign co-op play, done like no other game before it... fantastic multiplayer. No stone was left unturned in delivering the ultimate FPS experience. Especially the atmosphere which has you sitting up at midnight about to wet your pants for fear of what may be around the next corner... and then you open the door to find a lightsaber like weapon floating in midair... and coming towards you... and suddenly you're screaming and running backwards and lobbing grenades and unloading everything you have trying desperately to kill the damn thing or at least turn off its invisibility cloak or SOMETHING before it reaches you... Ok you get the picture. Intense. Unrivaled. Oh and it has the best loading screen ever. And the best everything ever too. Not for the twitch gamer. You go play Unreal.

This is a game you CANNOT get tired of playing. No matter how many times I've beat it, I can alway go, sit down and start playing the campaign again and STILL have a blast. My friends come over... we dont' feel like getting up to rent something new... pop in Halo, for another 6 hours of multiplayer, or another addictive night of two of us playing co-op campaign while the third sits and makes fun of us for being stupid enough to hop in that turret on top of the hill, where we're an obvious target. Oh yeah... it is nearly as fun to watch as it is to play.

Favorite Every Day Weapon: Pistol
Favorite Heavy Weapon: Rocket Launcher
Best Halo Feature:[TIE] Aliens that suddenly turn, drop their weapons and scream "he's coming! aaahhh!!" when they see you come around the corner.... or [TIE] Troopers that get pissed and start screaming at you if you accidentally back over one of them with your warthog. Whoops!
Favorite way to play: Campaign Co-Op with a friend... on SLAYER mode.
Most Foolhardy MC Color Used: Orange... I always use it and it gets me killed every time. Stand out like a sore thumb. What's wrong with me??
Most Fun Way to Kill People: Running them down with a warthog and crushing them... over and over and over. muhahahahaha.
Toughest Level: The Flood... on Slayer. And me without a shotgun... and running out of ammo... and hundreds of enemies... oh hell my butt clenches just thinking about it.

1. Perfect Dark - The game I play the most. I love either running missions or playing against 7 or 8 Simulators. It's a rush. Sure, sometimes I put the Simulators on meat and have a field day, but I have fun. :)
Favorite weapon - Dragon (for the secondary feature)
Team Name - Pimps
Fave way to play - Usually King of the Hill

2. GoldenEye - the game that started it for me. My best friend in college had this game, and I got him to leave it at my house. Eventually we found Perfect Dark. My friend and I would skip classes to play them (I know, we're bad). We'd have GoldenEye tournaments at my house. My favorite memory is playing 2 guys in the Temple with rockets. I think it was the temple. Anyway, I ended up beating them 10 to like -1. They were so pissed at me. Good times.
Fave weapon - Phantom (I think..too much Perfect Dark)
Fave character - Xenia (AKA Silver Boobs)
Fave way to play - All out combat with 3 friends.

I have a friend who is SO addicted to Perfect Dark Ragen. He plays it still.

Goldeneye though I'm with you on. Just a cool, fun game. Nothing I love better than a 4 player multiplayer match and me with a rocket launcher in a confined area. AHHHHH.

The only thing bad with me on GoldenEye with rocket launchers is...if I know you're going to kill me, I'll shoot the wall and take the suicide count rather than give you a kill. That drove my friends crazy.

Heh, same for me.

My theory with Rocket Launchers is always, I don't care if I die as long as you die too.

I love using them in small confined hallways.

#2: DEUS EX

Almost as good as my number 1... This is just a great game. The open ended missions and multiple storylines are great. Another revolutionary game!!

1. Tetris, for Gameboy

Favorite way to play: starting at level one with no extra rows, to build up the score over time.

Favorite technique: leave a blank column on one of the far sides for the long blocks, higher points for more rows at the same time.

Favorite music track: none, which saves batteries.

Have I beaten it yet: no, but it requires low brain activity and is excellent for long trips (esp. if you want alone time).

2. Everquest, for the PC

Favorite time to play: during the early morning hours, when most people are either still asleep or already at work - makes for less competition in gameplay and the servers aren't overloaded either.

Favorite way to play: if a newbie character, than solo to build up skills and adjust to character. if the character is old enough to go into riskier areas, then definately group.

Favorite classes: Cleric, paladin, necro, and druid

Favorite races: all of the elven races, but highelf is personal fave.

Favorite weapons: staffs, maces, and daggers

Favorite non-combat skill: jewelry making

3. Super Mario Bros 1, for the original Nintendo system

Have I beaten this yet: yep

Do I know the cheat for practically unlimited lives: yep

Can I make it through the entire game on a single life: yep

Would anyone want to play this one against me for money or any other reason: probably not

Why I know this game so well: was my only game for years on this system.

4. Cruise Control 2, for Atari

Why I like this so much: my first and only racing game, which is sad but I still enjoy it like a dork.

How I play: with rock n' roll music and preferably loud. RHCP's Blood Sugar Sex Magic album always fit this game for me, don't ask me why.

5. Doom, for the PC

What I like about it: the demons and the gore

Do I need the supercheat codes: no, I can go through and complete the game without them. Some secret passages cannot be accessed without them though.

What I listen to while playing this: Madonna's Erotica album and Madonna's Bedtime Stories album. Yes, I mix sex music with horror imagery and still consider myself to normal.

Sex music and Demons? I knew there was a good reason I liked you so much Christine! :lol
