I'll be extremely disappointed with this film only if when she uncrosses her legs bats don't fly out.....I can only suspend so much disbelief.

I can only believe that this is going to be absolutely horrible. Sharon Stone does look good for being 80.

London's so fruity.

Poster looks exactly like I expect the movie to be; a cheap crappy DTV sequel.

Im new to this site so Hello first.
I am a huge movie fan and reviewer. I wanted to say about this Movie, that the first one was brilliant, well crafted.
Having a sequel would have made sense about 7 or 8 years ago. Too much time has gone by since the first one and I doubt they could ever top or come close to the first one in terms of success.
I personal like Sharon Stone, but her choices in films have always surprised me. She's better then that.

Welcome Alera. Frankly, I'm not sure if Sharon Stone is better than that.

Hi Alera and welcome.

The first one IS excellent. I'm not sure it every should have had a sequel at any time, but definitely it's too late now.

Not only that but noone wanted to make this movie it stalled twice. etc.
No real hollywood star would do this film, so I beleive they got a unknown actor to step into Douglass's shoes.

I saw the full, non-porn trailer in front of Lucky Number Slevin.

The best thing about it was Jerry Goldsmith's theme from the original movie and David Thewis hamming it up for all he's worth.

Sharon Stone is freakishly hot for 47 tho. She has a good surgeon.

Still, movie looks like a horrible re-hash of the original and Charlotte Rampling looks like she should be in a different movie. Charlotte Rampling SHOULD be in a different movie.

I saw the trailer on the big screen too. GAAAA! There are better looking 60 year olds. Much better. I know she's been through it and all, but it's time to move on or look for more appropriate parts (acting or transplant).

Name a better looking 60 year old then.

Name a better looking 47 year old.

I can't think of any.

They're not exactly 47 but they're in their 40's (or even 50's) nevertheless:

Jodie Foster (43)
Sela Ward (49)
Holly Hunter (47)
Meryl Streep (57)
Meg Ryan (44)
Michelle Pfeiffer (47)
Demi Moore (43)

I'm sure only curiosity will bring an audience for this far-too-late sequel. Although I don't think I'm curious enough to see it.

Well, they bravely defied logic and screened it to the press...

One critic for the BBC says the first 5 minutes is great, the remaining 110 are awful, but couldn't say more until friday.

Well that's gotta be the least surprising review of the year

I love the interview on Comingsoon with Sharon Stone when they question her about her character, it pitches in perfectly with your review.

Quote:
CS: How have you used the time since the last movie to add to the character, since you weren't able to do the sequel right after the original?

Stone: (After a lengthy, almost uncomfortable, pause) Well, you know, with a character like that over time, she becomes so much more observational and so much more dangerous, because her need and her desire to be loved and her desperate disability to accomplish that. At the beginning of the movie, I thought she really, truly was suicidal, and it really was… "Wow! Even here, I'm not really feeling that much. It's just another buzz and it really isn't going to get me." It's like playing with the police is a little buzz but it's not much anymore, so to find someone that maybe understands her and maybe gets her is like a dim flicker of a light of hope. It takes a while for her to engage, which is very risky in a movie like this, because she's a little bit out of [the movie]. You want the character to be interesting, but you have to find a way to make her interesting while she's disparate and disconnected.

Way to come up with the lamest improvisation of an answer. Busted! She was just in it for the $15,000,000 paycheck, she couldn't give a rats ass about the acting.

I await the inevitable unrated DVD.

Actually, no, I really don't await it. But there will be an unrated dvd. That much I'm sure of.
