Mr Jabber that is so cool We dont have red dvd vending machines and it only costs a 1 dollar
Miss Inserts:
Yeah, Redbox is really a nice convenience when renting DVDs.
Quote:
I bet it would be alot more money in Australia since our currency is diffrent to yours in America
Actually, you would only pay .10 cents more if you had a Red Box in Australia. So your total would come out to 1 dollar and 10 cents (if it actually existed down under that is).
I wonder if they have the latest titles and if there is a fair selection to choose Mr Jabber
Miss Inserts:
Yes, that it is the Red Box's sole purpose. To provide you with the most popular new releases that come out on DVD on the cheap. Some folks even get the DVDs for free by getting illegal free coupon codes off of the internet, too.
Quote:
Do you this method much
No, I don't use Redbox very much. Seeing I mostly try to rent TV show DVDs: I probably use Redbox once or every other month or so.
No. The touch screen is in the front of the machine and it is not an actual physical key pad. It is a touch screen key pad. You know, the type of the touch screen key pads you see on mobile phones these days....
This is the type of keypad screen you would use to type in your coupon code (if you have one).
Quote:
That so intersting l wish we had one it would be really interesting and it would be cheaper than using the dvd store
If you started getting Redboxes, it probably would put your DVD rental shops out of business.
Quote:
Do you have certain deals that you can get with the coupon Mr Jabber
For every coupon code you have, you can get a free DVD. However, I believe Redbox is a steal of a deal as it is. So I usually don't bother with such a thing.
Quote:
Are you able to get more than just one movie.
Yes. But they don't carry that many old release titles. Just new releases. Unless of course it is a popular title during a certain Holiday or something.
Quote:
yes we do have discount coupons which come in a form of a newspaper every month and you can get deals.
Yes, coupon clipping is very popular with families over here in the States, too.

Do you think that the film War of the worlds is a little simalar to 2012 in parts without the aliens.
Hmmm.... I don't know. Yeah, I mean aliens aside: in both films there is earthly destruction. However, from what I have seen in the 2012 trailer: there appears to be a lot more devastation in 2012 than in War of the Worlds. At least from what I can tell.

Sorry you must really consider me very dumb sorry about that We dont have a machine like this so of cause l wouldnt know until you just showed me Mr Jabber
I did say "touch screen" keypad. But if you are not familiar with the term I can definitely understand the mix up. So it's okay.

Well that is very true have dvd shops in america dropped in sales since they have brang the red box in..
Yeah, Blockbuster Video (which is a rental DVD shop) is not doing as well as it once did, thats for sure.
Quote:
Well even just being able to get a new release movie would be cool
Yeah, it is a shame that certain movies are delayed or not even available where your at. I can't imagine what that is like. Looks like you have to see everything you want to see in the theater more.
Quote:
I will be seeing 2012 this weekend and also l will be seeing time travelers wife because that looks good too
Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing both of those films, too.
However, Time Traveler's Wife is coming to DVD in a few months. So I probably will wait until I rent it.
Stargate's 200th episode was hilarious. You know, the stuff that rainbows and unicorns are made of. Pure magic my friends. Also, the rest of the episodes on the disc were pretty darn good, too.
In fact, a friend of mine told me Season 10 wasn't that great. So far I have been really loving each and every episode so far. So let's hope the rest of the episodes are still just as good.

Stargate SG-1 is right out of the oven apple pie good with all it's glorious sweetness, warmth, and calming gooeyness.
If you haven't watched all of SG-1. Give it another shot.
I guarantee once you truly get to know the characters you won't want to miss a single episode.

Stargate Season 10 Disc 3 continues to impress. Solid stories with plenty of action, drama, humor, and moral lessons hidden inside. I really love the whole knights of the round table and Merlin story line that keeps popping up. I also like Morena Baccarin more on SG-1 than I do on this new V Series, too. For one, she simply looks better with longer hair. Secondly, she has more character or personality on SG-1, too.
Oh well, it just goes to show you that besides Fringe: science fiction television is in a serious slump right now. Sci Fi TV appears to be more focused on telling stories about characters that are either boring or annoying rather than a good science fiction tale. Seriously where is the magic, the adventure, the wonder, that is inherent with a good science fiction story line?
Well, at least we have SG-1, Atlantis, Deep Space Nine, The Original Series, Next Generation, Firefly, and others on DVD that we can still appreciate.

Well, after being seriously disappointed in the new Stargate series called Stargate Universe or SGU; I have decided to go back to my Atlantis DVDs to see if they still entertained me or not.
Wow, what can I say? I have a renewed love for Atlantis all over again.
I watched the following episodes:
Season 1:
1. Rising Part 1 (Pilot)
2. Rising Part 2 (Pilot)
3. Letters from Pegasus
4. The Siege Part 1
5. The Siege Part 2
Season 2:
6. The Siege Part 3
I was literally blown away. I had forgotten how funny, dramatic, action packed these episodes were. There really is no doubt in my mind now that this new SGU series is just absolute garbage by comparison.
So if you get a chance. Check out the following episodes above thru Netflix or your local video store. You won't be disappointed. Especially if your an action slash sci fi junkie like myself.
Overall Rating For These Six Episodes on DVD:
A+

Stargate: Ark of Truth was the final episode that SG-1 deserved. This movie wasn't blow you away awesome or anything, but it was extremely entertaining and more fitting than the final episode in Season 10. But if I were to recommend this film, it would only be after you had watched all 10 Seasons of SG-1, though. Watching this flick without catching the previous episodes would be absolutely pointless.
Some impressive brief visual effects in this.
Also it has a really love score, too.
