Yeah, I have been on a Stargate kick. I wanted to get through Stargate SG-1 to see what the entire series was like. And I have to say I was rather impressed by it. Also, I watched Stargate Atlantis because I wanted to see if I would still enjoy the series since it was on television last.

Two Weeks Notice
Very funny movie
I do believe I seen 2 weeks Notice but I cannot recall anything about it.
I may have to rent it again sometime. I am a fan of Sandra Bullock after all.

Yes, Nicole Kidman did star in Practical Magic. In addition to Sandra Bullock, I really enjoyed her performance in it a lot, as well.

Yeah, I do like a wide variety of films. However, there are some genres of film that I am not wild about, though.

Well, just to let you know...

Here is my Preferred Genre Percentages List:

1. Super Hero or Comic Book Based (100%)
2. Spies or Espionage (99%)
3. Science Fiction (Space Epics, Time Travel, Ect.) (98%)
4. Action (90%)
5. Animation (85%)
6. Science Fiction (Fantasy) (80%)
7. Horses or Squirrels (70%)
8. Romance (69%)
9. War (50%)
10. Comedy (49%)
11. Horror (40%)
12. Drama (30%)
13. Western (29%)
14. Family (28%)
15. Documentaries or Slow Dramas (10%)
16. Sports (0.01%)
17. Musicals (0%)

As you can see: I really do not enjoy watching Documentaries, Sports films, and Musicals.

And Horror, Drama, Western, and Family movies are films that I have to be in a mood for, unfortunately.

So Nicole did star in Practical Magic.

Well that movie was really good and l remeber that Sandra Bullock fell in love with a character on the movie plus Nicole kidman was processed by a demon

I hope l have the right movie

Also it would have been Nicole kidmans 3rd or forth movie because she was quite young when she starred in that

Mr Jabber you have a wide selection of favourites l was expecting only a few.

But when you are a fan it is hard to choose.

Did you know they are airing Stargate on tv but l wouldnt have a clue which seasoln it is

Actually, not counting TV movies or mini series, Practical Magic is Nicole Kidman's 20th film. Her first acting gig was in 1983 and Practical Magic came out in 1998.

I bet the DVDs are a hot seller where your at, too.

Yeah, sometimes the only way you can tell what season it might be is by looking up the name of the episode in the local TV listings. Then take the name of the episode and do a Google search on it.

Star Trek (2009)

Well, I ended up renting JJ Abram's Star Trek through Redbox instead of rushing out and buying it on DVD. I seen it twice in the theaters and I have to say it is a very entertaining film. There is some descent emotional moments, characterization, story, action, and a vast array of special effects that will dazzle your socks off. In fact, after I was done watching the film again I actually felt like a kid in a candy store. This movie was simply made for you to have a good time. After all, isn't that the goal of what a movie should do? For you to have a good time? Well, yes... that is true, to an extent; But I also believe that as good as some movies are... they just shouldn't be re-envisioned or remade.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is nothing like the original. The show or movie that started it all. Granted there are a lot of nods and similarities to the Original show starring William Shatner way back in the day... but it isn't the same thing. There are literally hundreds of episodes within Star Trek showing you a universe that already pre-exists for quite some time now. Asking me to forget the visual look and feel of the other series is like asking me to forget that I have two arms and two legs and a swiveling head with some neat tongue action.

What I am trying to get at is that I feel really torn on this issue. On one hand I have a really great movie that is fun and entertaining. On the other hand I have hundreds of episodes and a good handful of films. I mean, I hate to say that quantity wins over a new type of quality... but I have been a long time standing fan of Star Trek for quite some time now.

As cool as it would be to own this new Star Trek DVD so that I could view it at a moments notice...

I really can't picture this DVD standing in front of my Original Series DVD sets.
I mean to watch the unaired pilot episode The Cage parts 1 and 2 followed by JJ Abram's movie and then the rest of the Original Series is a bit odd or unusual. As slick as this new Star Trek looks and feels it just doesn't seem to fit within a chronological viewing of all the Star Trek series (TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY).

At least for now anyways.

Rating of Film:

B+

Side Note:

I guess you could say: It is part of the same reason why I don't consider Star Trek Enterprise (starring Scott Bakula) a part of the other Star Trek Series. Granted, JJ Abram's Star Trek doesn't have no where near the problems that "Star Trek Enterprise" does, but like the TV show Enterprise it just feels and looks like a completely different series or universe by comparison. And yes, I get the fact that the new Star Trek is an "Alternate Reality".

In fact, Memory-Alpha.org lists JJ Abram's Star Trek under the category of "Alternate Reality films" and not the Original Series films. Which proves my point further that this movie is not really attached to the Original Series.

http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Star_Trek_films

Side Note 2:

However, on a positive note: there are a couple of friends of mine who who are huge fans of Star Trek but really can't get into watching the Original Series with all of it's outdated sets and such. I believe JJ Abram's Star Trek film is now the perfect solution or alternative for them. It gives them more of a feeling that they are involved within the beginning of Star Trek now and that's a good thing I suppose.

Side Note 3:

Oh, and to add one more positive thing about the new Star Trek: I do think the trailer for JJ Abram's Star Trek is probably one of the top best trailers to come out within our decade, thats for sure.

Yeah, unfortunately Country Practice was available on DVD for a limited time only here in the States. It has been discontinued by the manufacturer for some reason, though.

So you had the series Country Practice grins

It was a old series which was made in the 80's and it went on for yrs.

Do you remeber the clip l showed you of Packed to the rafters.

If you do remeber us talking about it well it will be released on dvd on dec 2.

I might send you a copy of this popular series and we could make a thread on this

I have seen Practical Magic around 3 times and you are right it is always enjoyable to watch

You havent seen Australia the movie it is on dvd here in Oz.

This movie didnt hit it off with the American people and here in Australia people thought it was good

The only thing which was wrong with the movie was Nicole playing a english woman she would have been better playing her aussie self.

G.I. Joe and Bruno of Sacha Baron Cohen.

I was so disappointed with G.I. JOE movie because the plot of the movie is far away from their original cartoon GIJOE.

Bruno was a best comedy movie by Sacha Baron Cohen, but I like the humor on his Borat movie....

Not that you will respond to this or anything because your a silly spammer:
But the real problems with GI Joe wasn't so much the main plot than it was the believability factor of the film.
