Synopsis:
Earl has taken one too many wrong turns on the highway of life. A bully and a low-rent crook, Earl wins a lottery and after an epiphany, he is determined to turn his good fortune into a life-changing event as he sets out to right all the wrongs from his past. Despite his seemingly limited intelligence, he is oddly effective -- and has a voice and style all his own.
Could be funny, but I get the feeling it'll get great reviews and strong response from audiences, and then get cancelled really soon. I don't know, it just looks like one of those shows.
They've been really pushing this one lately, and since it's got Jason Lee, I'm interested. Hopefully it will turn out to be a decent show, and not get canned soon into its run like Brody mentioned.
I thought it was pretty good, with a few laugh out loud moments. Because they had to set up the whole premise, the actual help of the guy in finding someone seemed a bit rushed. Good supporting cast and Jason Lee was excellent as usual. I'll be interested to see what happens between Jason Lee and the maid, even though his brother called "dibs."
I like it, I'll continue watching, despite being on at the same time as House
I'm not sure if they can sustain the level it was at in the pilot, but if I hadn't already seen the whole damn thing in previews already, it would've been one of the best pilots so far.
Originally posted by Karl Hungus I think it's great. It hit the ground running and if it just holds this level it will be one of the funniest shows on network tv.
Agreed. I thought it was hilarious. Really like the way it was done. I hope it holds up.
