Makes me actually a bit excited to see the show for a change.
As much as I kinda didn't like that whole Resident Evil cliffhanger episode last season... I did however really enjoy the car crash sequence at the end, though.

While it was previously announced that Rachel Nichols and Élodie Bouchez had joined the cast of ABC's Alias for its fifth season (debuting Thursday, Sept. 29 at 8/7c), TV Guide revealed the role Balthazar Getty is playing as well.
He'll star as Thomas Grace, an APO agent who is "a little rough around the edges," says his portrayer, and thus doesn't play well with others. "It's pretty cool how they introduce my character," hints Getty of his debut in the season's second episode. "I come in fighting."
Producer Jeff Pinkner says the plan to spice up the cast with the new arrivals developed "simultaneously" with Jennifer Garner's announced pregnancy, and is not a calculated effort to cover for her understandably decreased on-screen fisticuffs. "We're not going to do anything that begs credibility anymore than we have in the past," he notes. "But if danger comes to her, she will absolutely fight it off."
The magazine adds that there will be danger in great supply as the new season picks up immediately after the car crash. The question of Vaughn's true identity and what else he was going to tell Sydney "will be answered in the first episode — or most of it will be," allows Pinkner. "The consequences reveal a new enemy who is far more pervasive and dangerous and mysterious than any we have fought before."
I have been chapter skipping to my favorite scenes out of the first Season of Alias tonight. Damn, this show was a frigging masterpeice.
All I want is at least 75% of that greatness for Season 5.
I don't think that is too much to ask.
BTW- Do you guys think Abrams is going to make Mission Impossible 3 more realistic like the first two seasons of Alias, or do you think he is going to bend the laws of physics like the last two Mission Impossible films?
Originally posted by Phantasm You're really high on the realism factor in everything, aren't you, Jabba.
Yeah. Call it a personal pet peeve of mine. In fact, I think I should start like a National Movie Administration like The MPAA rating group or somethin. Except mine will rate all films, TV shows, games, ect... on how realistic they are, instead. I could like make millions if I get Hollywood and all the other poor saps to by into it of course.

Originally posted by smizzle I don't know haw realistic MI3 will be, but I'm expecting it to be the best one so far.
Yeah, your probably right. Abrams did a great job on the beginnin' of Alias and now he got the ball rolling nicely with Lost. So, I am definitely thinkin' it is gonna be better than the last two. Whether or not he may throw a pinch or a pound of dat whacky bending the laws of physics stuff...
I don't know?

Originally posted by spoon I'm excited for this premiere. Wonder what he had to tell her in the car?
Vaughn was gonna tell Syd his real name and who he secretly worked for ( or still works for ). He also was a part of this shadow organization way back when he first met Sydney, too.
The question is...
which covert group do you think it is????????

Yeah, yeah. That would be tight, dog.
Really tight!

Originally posted by Smizzle Yeah I think a movie would be cool, but it might not happen if the show doesn't get alot better, which I hope it does.
I think it could still happen whether this year sucks or is good. When or if Abrams ever makes an Alias movie, I think he will only send the studio the first two seasons of Alias only.
