I like the idea behind the movie but I'm having a hard time seeing how they're going to stretch it into a full length feature without getting really tedious.
The squirrel belching and blowing cheese out his nose is only good for so long.

I can't wait for this one, I diasgree Deus, there should be plenty here for a good story. And while this might get compared to Madagascar, I think it will out do it.
In fact i'm looking forward to this one a lot more then Cars.
I hear the soundtrack features Ben Folds and William shatner doing a new version of Rockin the Suburbs
Great. Now I have nothing to contribute to this post.

sorry it was moviegirl who told me Ben Folds was doing the soundtrack and then my friend IMed me saying Shatner was in on that one track with him so I posted it.
Although kid movie (with the expected dreamworks animation). Its funnier than I expected. Great character roles and many truths to some things such as "being a family". Other parts were unrealistic. Its about these animals and weasels trying to get some food from humans and elsewhere, in order for one to repay the bear from what he has taken. 3/5 :-)
It looks like a cute movie. I keep seeing the characters in the Walmart commercials. Plus if anyone caught the Apprentice last night they tied in the movie. It should do really well.
I saw it today and thought it was pretty funny, although more in the category of entertaining rather than gut busting. Hammy was hilarious as was Shatner. Nothing unusual in the entire movie, the whole theme of family is more important than stuff is pretty typical in these animated movies. Still, not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I enjoyed it too--it was a nice, light, non-preachy kids' movie. I didn't pay any attention to who the celebrity voices were before we saw it and it was an interesting way to see the movie. It bugged me part of the time because I was trying to figure out the more familiar voices were (I got Bruce Willis and Gary Shandling, but the rest were mysteries,) but most of the time I was just enjoying the characters at face value.
I saw this last night and I loved it. I personally think that this movie is the best one that dreamworks has ever made. I almost think it's better than Shrek, and I love Shrek.
This is one I will actually pay to see at the movie again.
Saw the movie tonight, it is really cute and charming. I think the dialouge is the best thing the movie's got going for it. Anything involving Hammy is also gold. It knows it's cute, and makes no bones about it. It also knows it's got great characters in there and it pushes that as far as it can go.
Sure, the plot's thin, but like I said, it's all about the dialouge and character interaction. It's also a movie that's silly enough for the kids, and also clever enough for the adults. Great sense of humor, with just the right amount of snarky humor, potty humor, and pop culture riffs.
