It's not black and white. look closer there's mostly blues in it. Also the black suit should support the idea that venom doesn't come in until the end right?
On another note I love looking at the AICN talkbacks on this one the geeks are seriously losing their shit saying you can see the Hobgoblin in the eye. I don't know I can sorta see what they're talking about on the blown up version but it could be mass geek hypnosis
Yeah, I see the Hobgoblin in there and that totally makes sense. The past two major villains have been reflected in Spidey's eye in the posters as well.
I'm not buying that Spidey's in a black suit. If you look along the edges you can see hints of the red and blue. I'm thinking it's just dark out, rainy and the image is dimmed for effect. That's the regular suit in really dark lighting. You can still see shapes and get bright reflections by moonlight but colors tend to run to grey.

how the hell is that fake? i mean i understand why it woul dbe fake...but how? it looks soooo good.
Well the shot of sand coming through the door is from The Mummy, the Venom footage is probably just altered Spawn footage (note the burns) and the sand attacking Harry would be pretty easy to add in.
Voila If you had final cut pro it would take you about an hour.
The red and blue looks more like it's under the black to me, like it's sort of showing through in a couple of places where the light is shining brightest.
Which would make sense of the Venom skin goes OVER his normal costume.
A few have suggested elsehwere that this might be Spidey early in his transformation, and that later on the suit will take on the more traditional Spidey-Venom form with a sleeker look and the big white spider in the middle... right before Spidey gets rid of it and it lands in the arms of Eddie Brock.
That makes some sense.
As for questions of why Sony released this with no explanation of what it was... because they want us speculating and talking about the movie just like we're doing.
