I wanted so badly for that python to swallow the baby.....then and only then could this be genius. As far as the "muthfukin snakes" line....seemed forced. coming after Kenan has to fly the plane.....tisk tisk. As much as it rendered applause from the audience, surprisingly the biggest reveal that led to a big reaction in the audience was when David Keochner stepped on the plane as the co-pilot.
My fear that it wouldn't live up to the hype has been absolutely vanquished. This film is pure fun, popcorn entertainment: it's gruesome, it's disgusting, it's shameless, and it's so far beyond awesome I'm still in partial shock. Hollywood can't go anywhere from here: this is the zenith of cinematic cheese.

Yeah, Keochner got a big response at the showing I was at too, and Harry mentioned it in his AICN review as well.
I realized after watching this film that i actually know a lot about snakes and I couldn't stand how many inaccuracies there was throughout the film. It was still fun to watch but i couldn't help but yell at the screen at how wrong the movie was.

I think it helps to go when there's a big audience, which, based on the showing we went to today, might not happen if you didnt' see it Thursday night with the die hards. There were like 16 people there.
Great B-movie fun (if you can handle it...that's a lot of snakes crawling or biting through every single orifice on the human body ), but too exhausting to watch again for awhile. I was really hoping for more creative ways to kill the snakes. Definitely needed more Kung Fu snake hustling.

Does it make anyone else sad that Sam "The Man" Jackson is now Sam "The Sellout" Jackson?
Not really, because with all respect to Samu-L, he isn't the most diverse actor around. He's just playing up to what he does best.
If he wants to expand his acting career he can not take a role as a government agent or gangster, but until he does that, I won't be surprised nor disappointed.
Gahh this was great...if they h adnt done it on purpose this movie would have pushed Battlefield Earth out of the top Flaming Hobbit spot. This is the first time (outside of my annual Rocky Horror Picture Show viewing) where crowd noise was a plus.
This movie had many of the horror cliches as well. My favorite was easlily the "having sex will get you dead" cliche.
This movie made my summer. Was a good movie? No. Was it the most entertaining film of the year? Yes. Easliy the most Ive been entertained in the last decade. Which suprised me.
Movie gets a 2 out of 5 based on strict movie merit. But Gets a 5 out of 5 over all because it was just plain fun.
