A lot of fans are confused about which season this is after the giant break they did in the middle of last season. It was about the same length as most shows take between seasons and they even released the first half on DVD before 2.5 or 2.9 or whatever they are calling it aired on television. Sci-Fi still insists on calling them the same season. Josh mentioned this in one of his news stories so thats where the title came from.
Can I just get BSG new...every week?? Forever?? I'm not sure I can make it until Friday. As it is, I find myself on the SciFi Channels websitedamn near every day, drooling for every new image and interview I can get my hands on.
(On a side note, we need more BSG avatars.)
(I think I need Sharon for this season...)

sci-fi has been doing the same exact thing with Stargate for the past 5 years. First half of Season 10 of SG-1 finished airing the other week. Second half won't air until March.
It is the same season - they just show the first half, have an extremely long break and then show the second half of the season. They call the mid-season finale the "season finale" and this can get confusing if you don't know that it is just the mid-season finale.
It is additionally confusing because each half of seaosn 2 was just about as many episodes as season 1 was. But season 1 was just a half-season.
Season 3 starts this Friday.

OK I cheated and watched the 1 hour "here's what you missed" episode that summed up the first 2 seasons. I plan to eventually watch both seasons but until I get to that I'm going to watch season 3 as it airs

I am so excited for Friday to get here that I don't know what to do with myself. It's possibly the most excited I've ever been for one of my shows to come back. I can't wait to see where it goes (I can't wait to see if they tie in the webisode stuff somehow, just as a shoutout of sorts to those that watched them.) I just can't wait. Eeeeee.

I've seen that Story So Far episode (it's actually free on iTunes right now if anyone else needs a refresher - that's why I watched it) and it's definitely good at covering all the important characters and plots. Thought it was well done.
what happened before the credits and whats going on now? I was having suitemate/roommate issues so I missed it. I just tuned in a couple minutes ago.

It's so good to have BSG back! It seems like the producers will keep their word and we'll be away from the New Caprica insurgent storyline fairly soon.
How awesome was Starbuck stabbing her pseudo Toaster Husband through the neck? My wife immediately said, "I like her."
I thought the premiere was great, best season premiere this season.

I still can't get over the balls the producers of the show have. The Iraq occupation comparison, and what about having a Cylon model as a priest who then is behind public executions? Man, they don't shy away from anything.

One funny moment I had was in watching Lee's puffed out cheeky face as The Old Man layed it think on him on how soft and fat he's gotten.
That look was priceless
