Just got back from seeing this.

I'm not allowed to post a review until the day before release, but I'll be happy to answer any specific questions posed to me.

If it's good...is it worth going to a midnight showing the opening night (or day...or however that's figured out). In other words, will I kick myself for being tired at work all day afterwards?

It's worth it if you're a fan of the previous two films.

Josh Ranks The Spider-Man Films:
1. Spider-Man 2
2. Spider-Man
3. Spider-Man 3

Though it's a near thing between the #2 and #3 spot. That may change between now and the time I run my review after I think about it more.

hey Josh

"first time poster".....big fan of the site.

I got 2 questions for ya:

How was Spidey's.... sense of humor in the film? (wisecracking)

What kinda vibe did ya get from people after getting out of the theatre?......Did they seem to enjoy it as much as you did?

Same as the other movies for the most part.

Hard to tell. I saw it with a press only audience, and they don't respond much to anything. Didn't hear many reactions at all from people. It was pretty quiet... but then it usually is at press screenings... except when they really really hate it.

I did hear quite a lot of laughter at some of the intentionally funny sequences in the film. People seemed to enjoy that. But otherwise no audible reactions.

Roughly how awesome was Venom period, and how pleasing do you think he'll be for fanboys?

Did it have an open ending or did it make full closure on all the storylines with the villains (Sandman, Goblin, Venom)

I'd give him a 32.4 on the awesome scale.
